THE STORY
Brent Dragon of Milton, Vt., looks to gain ground on the ACT Late Model Tour championship leaders when the series runs The Big Jab 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Sunday, May 15. The all-time ACT leader in starts has been plagued by power steering issues through the first two events of the season, but the veteran driver has forged ahead to sit seventh in the overall standings. This will mark the third straight event in which Dragon will compete for Avery Motorsports.

Waterbury, VT –The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today the criteria and format for the first NHMS – ACT All Star event to be held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) over the weekend of August 12-13, 2011.
The event will be presented as part of the announced INDY weekend at the region’s largest sporting facility, and only super speedway. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Division will join the ACT Late Models as part of an “ALL STAR” weekend for short track, featuring full-fendered ACT Late Models and the open-wheeled NASCAR Modifieds. BARRE, VT – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., finished fifth in the ACT Late Model Tour Merchants Bank 150 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., on Sunday, May 1. The finish marked the second consecutive Top-5 finish to open the season for the RPM Motorsports driver, who started the event from the pole after qualifying through the consolation round.

Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl Race Report
BARRE, Vt. – Brent Dragon overcame a mechanical issue to take home a 15th-place finish in the ACT Late Model Tour Merchants Bank 150 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., on Sunday, May 1. Around Lap 20, Dragon lost the power steering in his Avery Motorsports but still managed to finish in the top half of the field for the second straight race after starting out from the sixth postion.
