SOUTH PARIS, Maine – 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national champion Keith Rocco of Wallingford, Conn., will return to the seat of a Crazy Horse Racing chassis this season in a car owned by Scott Fearn of Wilbraham, Mass.

The two will drive the No. 1 Critical Signs/Mr. Rooter/Fearn Electric Toyota in weekly NASCAR competition at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Conn.

“The full season – that’s the plan,” Fearn said. “We’ve really only run about 15 races together the last few years, but we’re going to give it a shot this year.” (more…)

CRAZY HORSE RACING: Austin Theriault To Run 6 Races With CHR In 2013

BKR Development Driver To Run Own Car In Six PASS Races In Maine

SOUTH PARIS, Maine – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, will compete in at least a half-dozen PASS North Series races in his home state in 2013, including the prestigious 40th running of the TD Bank Oxford 250 on July 21.

The Brad Keselowski Racing development driver and most recent winner in the PASS South Series will run the same Crazy Horse Racing chassis that he won races with in New England on both the ACT Late Model Tour and PASS North Series.

“I feel like we can definitely compete up there with this car,” Theriault said. “Crazy Horse puts out a good product, and everybody knows I worked with them for quite a while now. It’s going to be awesome to go back up and be a part of what they’re trying to build.”

Theriault moved to Mooresville, N.C., to work for Brad Keselowski Racing this winter. He won the PASS South Carolina Clash 150 last weekend at Dillon Motor Speedway in the closest finish in PASS South Series history and will race three more times this spring in the BKR No. 29 Checkered Flag Foundation Ford before making his first appearance in New England. CRAZY HORSE RACING: Taylor Martin Ready To Tackle Late Models

New Hampshire Teen Testing The Late Model Waters In 2013

SOUTH PARIS, Maine – Taylor Martin raised eyebrows last season in a Legends ride at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but in 2013 the 15-year-old driver from Windham, N.H., will break out a new Late Model in hopes of making her debut in that division.

Martin purchased a Crazy Horse Racing Late Model from Austin Theriault Racing and will test the car during open practice sessions in the spring with an eye on being race-ready later in the season.

“I am so excited for this year. I am ready for it,” said Martin, who became the first and youngest woman ever to finish on the podium in an event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last summer. “I’m really, really excited about being able to move up into these cars. (more…)

CRAZY HORSE RACING: Coolidge Tackles Oxford’s New Top Division

SOUTH PARIS, Maine – Norway’s Chris Coolidge will be back in the top division at Oxford Plains Speedway in 2013, even as the division itself has undergone offseason changes.

Formerly fielding ACT-legal Late Models at the .375-mile flat oval, new ownership there has revamped the division to be a Pro Late Model – a sort of hybrid blending the former Late Model division with the Super Late Models that compete in the PASS North Series. Coolidge, who earned his first career win in the 2012 season finale at Oxford, is already eager to get back on the track in his No. 72 Crazy Horse Racing chassis.

“It’s not going to be a full-blown Pro Stock. It’s not going to be a lot different,” Coolidge said. “It’s always been my hope to try and be able to run something like that. It’s definitely going to be a learning curve – I still had a lot to learn in a Late Model, and now we’ve even got more to learn. But I still think it’s going to be a lot of fun.” (more…)
