ENTRIES POURING IN FOR OXFORD 250Advanced Oxford 250 entries are pouring in to the PASS North headquarters in Naples, Maine, and the entry list is certainly going to be a who’s who in Super Late Model racing from throughout the Northeast, Southeast and Canada.

Northern driver, Tim Brackett from Buckfield, Maine filed the first entry earlier this month, and since then entries have been coming in almost daily. 2013 PASS North champion Cassius Clark has filed entry for the Hight Chevrolet team. Former multi-time PASS champion, Johnny Clark, along with 2012 PASS North champ, Travis Benjamin have sent in their entries. 2013 PASS North runner-up Joey Doiron is entered as well as Turner, Maine’s Glen Luce. Other PASS notables include David Oliver and Reid Lanpher.

Oxford Plains Speedway is well represented with early entries as Shane Green, Chris Coolidge, Mark Lundblad Jr., Justin Gibbons, and Adam Polivinen have all thrown their hats into the ring.

Austin Theriault Finishes 3rd In TD Bank Oxford 250

Austin Theriault Oxford Plains Race Report

Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, finished third in the 39th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Sunday, July 22. After winning his qualifying race to start sixth in the main event, the Brad Keselowski development driver used tire strategy to post his second consecutive Top-3 finish in the open Late Model competition. Theriault ran as high as second in the first half of the race, got shuffled back in traffic on a mid-race restart, and then moved from 13th to third in the running order over the final 40 laps. After becoming the yougest driver in the race’s history to finish on the podium last year with a third-place finish, Theriault finished third again in just his second career start.

Joey Polewarczyk Jr. wins the TD Bank 250 with Jeff Taylor second and Austin Theriault third. The Race was incredibly quick and relatively caution free Oxford 250. Joey will take home $45,500. The biggest purse since Ralph Nason won $46,400 in 1998.

The ‘one’ is this weekend’s 39th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine. Practice takes place on Saturday and Sunday, with qualifying and the main event slated for Sunday afternoon and evening, respectively. Hoar’s best finish in the event was a runner-up effort in the 2010 TD Bank 250.

Two years ago, Austin Theriault showed up as a 16-year-old rookie with only a handful of ACT Late Model Tour starts under his belt. Last summer, he opened eyes when he became the youngest podium finisher in the history of the biggest one-day stock car race in the northeast.

This Sunday, Theriault and his No. 57 Pelletier Ford Ford Fusion team head to Oxford Plains Speedway for the 39th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 on a short-list of favorites to capture the premier Late Model event in the country.
