Top racers from throughout the Northeast are expected to roll through the gates for the pay-per-view-only event that can be seen worldwide on Northeast Sports Network (NSN). While all will be looking for a good run on Saturday, others have bigger goals in mind as they prepare for what may lie ahead in the season-long ACT campaign.

Waterbury, VT & N. Woodstock, NH – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) will kick off its 2020 season at N. Woodstock, NH’s White Mountain Motorsports Park this Saturday, June 13. Series and track officials have announced the Spring Green 120 for the ACT Late Model Tour will go on as planned with a pay-per-view broadcast on Northeast Sports Network (NSN). Post time has been set for 5:00pm.
All divisions that were originally scheduled for the event remain on the card. This includes the start of season-long track championship chases with point-counting events for White Mountain’s Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers and Woodsville Guaranty Savings Back Strictly Stock Mini’s with both divisions. The GoMotorsportsShop.com NELCAR Legends Tour rounds out the program with their second visit in seven days to the high-banked quarter-mile speedplant. The event is slated to be presented by NAPA Auto Parts of Littleton and Whitefield, NH along with Sanel NAPA.
Waterbury, VT & Vallée-Jct., QC – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Autodrome Chaudiere officials have mutually agreed to cancel the Claude Leclerc 150 that was scheduled for Saturday, May 30. The event, which debuted in 2019, is expected to return to the ACT Late Model Tour schedule for the 2021 season.
The decision, as with many other racing postponements and cancellations in 2020, was made due to health and safety restrictions in place related to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. To comply with Quebec mandates and guidelines, Autodrome Chaudiere had previously suspended all racing events through the month of August. Furthermore, the United States–Canada border remains closed to non-essential travel through at least June 21, which would preclude U.S. teams from traveling to the track even if it was in operation.
Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials have announced the postponement of the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic that was scheduled for Sunday, May 24. The decision was made due to ongoing health and safety regulations in place related to the worldwide COVID-19 outbreak.
While the state of Vermont has gradually been reopening in recent weeks, large gatherings for non-essential businesses and events remain prohibited by the recently-extended Stay Home, Stay Safe order. The current restrictions would limit the number of teams that could race in the event and would also prevent fans from attending.
Waterbury, VT and Naples, ME – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Star Series (PASS) officials have announced the 2020 Northeast Classic at Loudon’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) has been cancelled. The inaugural edition of the event will now take place on April 16 and 17, 2021.
Despite the hopes of series officials, and a previous postponement to May 8 and 9, it became clear in recent days that holding the Northeast Classic in 2020 was no longer practical. The state of New Hampshire recently extended its State of Emergency declaration, and indications are that New Hampshire’s Stay at Home order will also be extended beyond the current May 4 expiration date.
Furthermore, the U.S.-Canada border remains closed to non-essential business, which would prevent the large amount of Quebec-based teams and fans who planned to attend the Northeast Classic from doing so. With the current health and safety concerns, and other postponements and uncertainty throughout the Northeast racing world making rescheduling even more difficult, the decision was made to wait until 2021 for the debut of the highly-anticipated event.
