CAVENDISH FARMS PEI INVITATIONAL ON TAP SUNDAY AT CENTRE FOR SPEED

(Shediac, N.B.) — The Centre for Speed, Atlantic Canada’s Super Speedway and “Metro Moncton’s Playground of Power”, will host its annual Cavendish Farms PEI Invitational stock car racing program this Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. – a fitting end to the Shediac Lobster Festival and the Atlantic Nationals.

Sunday’s racing program will feature points championship racing in Shediac Sportsman, Mini Stock and Four Fun divisions with minimum guarantees for all PEI competitors, as well as a 35-lap feature for Super Sportsman competitors.

Sunday will also be another one of the speedway’s ‘Community Day’ event whereby families from throughout Prince Edward Island will be admitted FREE of charge upon presentation of a valid driver’s license. Each week, families from different parts of the Maritimes are being offered FREE admission to specific events, details of which are outlined on the CFS website (www.centreforspeed,com )

“We’ve seen more side by side racing lap after lap in the four events we’ve hosted this season than we’ve had over the past few seasons along with photo finishes each week,” says Tim Wile, CFS co-owner and promoter. “This weekend promises more of the same racing we’ve seen so far – tough, fast, and action packed thanks to the new oval with longer straightaways and tighter corners.” he added.

Don’t miss a second of the exciting stock car racing action this Sunday,
July 10th at 4:00 p.m. Front gates and grandstand will open at 2:30 p.m.
