Jimmy Spencer Enters Auto Value 250
Mr Excitement is heading north to the Geary Woods!

Fredericton, NB – All the way from Berwick, Pennsylvania to NASCAR and now to the Auto Value 250. NASCAR’s Mr Excitement has announced his intentions to enter the 11th Annual Auto Value 250 at Speedway 660. Spencer will join a strong list of Southern Stars who have competed in the Labour Day Classic. Over the past several years fans have seen Sterling Marlin, Johnny Benson, Terry & Justin Labonte and Ron Hornaday take battle against the best Pro Stock teams in the Northeast.

Spencer, who currently resides in Cornelius, North Carolina, is a household name from his days behind the wheel of a Sprint Cup car. He is perhaps best known for his on and off track rivalries with the likes of Kurt Busch. Spencer has two Sprint Cup victories to his credit both coming in 1994 at Daytona and Talladega Superspeedways. Spencer’s last Cup start was in 2006 at Pocono Speedway. Before his days in NASCAR Spencer competed in Late Model events in Pennsylvania before moving up to the Modified ranks.

“I can’t wait, these historic short track events are awesome. I’m always amazed at the atmosphere and the excitement the fans create. This is a lot of folks Daytona 500. I’m looking forward to coming up for the weekend and seeing what we can do against the regions best!” said Jimmy in a phone interview.

This news is also great for all involved with Speedway 660. “We are pumped! Having Mr Excitement here on SPEEDWEEKEND is going to be awesome. Fans will get a kick out of his down to earth nature. Jimmy is old school and loves hanging out an going fast. To have him here, at our track, racing in front of our fans is a really cool deal.” said Speedway 660 co-owner Steve Burns.
