_1MG2091(Halifax, NS, June 22, 2013) Halifax, NS’s John Flemming raced his #97 Action Car & Truck Accessories Dodge Charger to victory lane Saturday evening during the Lockhart Truck Center 150. Flemming dueled with defending series champion Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) for a majority of the second half of the race, with the final lead change taking place with 17 laps to go. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) brought his car home in third at his home track, with George Koszkulics (New Glasgow,NS) and sophomore Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) finishing out the top five.

Flemming started the day off with a qualifying sweep by taking the top spot in the Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials with a quick circuit of 14.301 seconds and following a shake-up of the top eight drivers and a 10 lap race, the King Freight Lines Dash for Cash. Dartmouth Dodge Heat Races were won by Turple and George Koszkulics. Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) took home the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race Award after he came home with a 6th place finish. Dylan Gosbee (Cornwell, PE) gained 10 spots to receive the Absolute Traffic Services Hard Charger Award. Flemming led 128 laps to pocket the Linde Most Laps Led Award.

Two of Scotia Speedworld’s Weekly Racing Series divisions opened the racing card with exciting features. Lakeside, NS’ Russell Smith Jr won the 50 lap Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman Series race and Eastern Passage’s Jason Fenton won the Coors Light Truck feature.
