MACDONALD BUICK GMC 400 WEEKEND SET TO ROAR AT CFS

(Shediac, N.B.) — A full field of top drivers from throughout the three Maritime provinces will do battle on both Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon as the Centre for Speed (CFS), Atlantic Canada’s Super Speedway and “Metro Moncton’s Playground of Power”, presents its 5th annual mid-summer stock car celebration with the MacDonald Buick GMC 400 double-header weekend.

On Saturday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m., CFS will once again host the ‘Little Guys 100’, which is the longest feature event for four-cylinder Mini Stock and Four Fun racecars in Atlantic Canada. Drivers from throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI are expected to compete in this once-per-year classic. The Atlantic Open Wheel (AOW) Modifieds will also be on hand to compete in their fourth event of the season at CFS. Front gates and grandstands open at 4:00 p.m.

Then on Sunday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m., a total purse of upwards of $10,000 will be on the line during the Maritime Super Series for Sportsman 100. Top Sportsman drivers from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia will go ‘door-handle-to-door-handle’ in a bid for the win. Meanwhile, some of the best Streetstock competitors will also be on hand as they race for a share of the $2,250 purse which will be up for grabs in the
100-lap feature. Front gates and grandstands open at 10:00 a.m.
