Brent Dragon: ACT Late Model Tour – Oxford Plains Speedway Race Preview

Brent Dragon and the ACT Late Model Tour are ready for the second event of the season — the WJAB 150 on Sunday, May 16, at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine. Three of the first four races on the ACT schedule have been rained out, including last week’s event at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, N.Y., where Dragon is a 3-time track champion. With more career ACT starts (175) than anyone in the tour’s history, Dragon heads to Oxford where he’s had some measure of success over the last couple of seasons. He won the pole for the prestigious TD Bank Oxford 250 last July — leading nearly 100 laps in the event before finishing sixth — and has finished in the top-10 in each of the last three 250s.

The venue has been around since 1961 and was previously known as
Rattlesnake Motordrome, the Legion Speedway, The Pines, the Nor-Way
Pines, and the Legion Bowl. Since last October Mike “Big Daddy” Rivers
has been in charge and the 2010 season opened with a much different
