RON MACGILLIVRAY 150 SET TO OPEN 2015 AT RIVERSIDE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

JAMES RIVER, NS (April 8, 2015) – Management of Riverside International Speedway and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (PST) are pleased to announce Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC has renewed its sponsorship of the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick 150. The event is set for June 13 and is the season opener for Riverside, round three of 12 on the PST season.

The General Motors dealership, located in nearby Antigonish, has been a long-time sponsor of both the track and the series with its support dating back as far as 2006. Since 2008 the dealership has been the title sponsor of this first of three series events at Riverside during which time the race has grown from a 100-lap feature to the 150 laps it is now.

WEST HAVEN, VT – Jimmy Ryan is coming home to Devil’s Bowl Speedway. One of Vermont’s most popular open-wheel Modified stock car drivers for many years, “Flyin’ Ryan” plans to end his hiatus from driving in 2015. He has recently taken delivery of a Teo Pro Car chassis, a brand new Chevrolet “602” crate engine, and has reclaimed his familiar car number 60 with the registration office.

Ryan plans to compete on both asphalt and clay, running in the Bond Auto Parts Modified division of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) on the pavement, and in the Liberty Street Discount Beverage & Deli Sportsman Modified class in the five-race Optical Expressions of Berlin Dirt Track Series.

Champlain Centre Mall to Host Airborne Park Speedway Car Show
Meet drivers and see stock cars and go-kart racers on April 18-19

PLATTSBURGH, NY – Winter’s chill seems to be hanging on a little bit longer than normal this year, so Airborne Park Speedway is headed indoors. The Champlain Centre Mall in Plattsburgh, NY will host a two-day racing show on the weekend of April 18-19, featuring the cars and drivers of the track’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series stock car championship and the young stars of the Kart Racing Series.

As many as 25 stock cars and 15 go-karts will be on display, and the free-admission show will have a real race-event feel with a driver autograph session and a pit stop competition. In addition, 98.9 WOKO will broadcast live from Champlain Centre and will raffle off Airborne Park Speedway passes provided by Taylor Rental and movie tickets for “Furious 7” provided by Regal Cinemas.

Waterbury, VT – One of the biggest seasons in American-Canadian Tour (ACT) history launches on Saturday, April 18 as part of the first ever doubleheader between the ACT Late Model stock cars and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models. More than 70 combined cars are expected at the Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, ME, and multiple ACT drivers will attempt to run both 150-lap events that afternoon.

Defending ACT Tour Champion Joey Polewarczyk Jr. of Hudson, NH leads the drivers looking to complete all 300 laps of feature racing on the 3/8th-mile oval. “Joey Pole” said that he and his team wanted to attempt the doubleheader as soon as they learned that it was on the schedule.
