THE STORY

Brent Dragon of Milton, Vt., looks to break a run of bad luck when the ACT Late Model Tour joins the ACT Castrol Series for the combination Can-Am 200 at Riverside Speedway in St. Croix, Que., on Saturday, August 27. Dragon finished fifth in 2010 at Riverside, an oddly-shaped, flat .625-mile oval. Dragon will be taking his own Dragon Motorsports car to the event, hoping to rebound from a 17th-place run at Oxford Plains Speedway last weekend – after which he found a mechanical issue that had led to the car’s recent handling issues.

ANDREW CROSBY VICTORIOUS IN LITTLE ENDURO RACE AT 95

Andrew Crosby of Hermon took the lead on the second lap of the caution free Little Enduro feature at Speedway 95 Wednesday night and drove away from the remainder of the 20 car field, finishing a quarter lap ahead of second place Jeremy Scott of Carmel, who notched his first top three finish of the season. Ted Ryder of Carmel came from the rear of the field to finish third, followed by outside pole sitter Garett Hayman of Milford, who finished fourth. Darren Durrell, the current points leader with one week of racing left, finished fifth. Pole sitter Chad Badger of Milo was sixth, followed by Russell Blenkhorn of Bucksport, the only other drivers to finish on the lead lap.

Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) stars will find the competition the toughest of the 2011 race season when they return to Thunder Road for the 33rd running of the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic on Sunday, September 4th. A field of over 40 of the best Late Model racers in the region will attempt to qualify for the $5000 to win, $40,000 summer holiday classic, including some of the best weekly racers in New England.
