Roy back in Airborne title chase with 2nd win
South Plattsburgh – Martin Roy took the lead from upset-minded Cam Grady on a lap-18 restart and drove off to his second DIRTcar Modified win of the season Saturday at Airborne Speedway.
The win brought the former track champion from Napierville, QC back into title contention. Current point leader Patrick Dupree, seeking to repeat as Ernie’s Discount Tools Modified champion, pitted mid-race to tend to a broken suspension part and settled for a 12th-place finish. Dupree leads Roy 428-400. George Foley is third in points (378).

Valenti Modified Series Set To Invade Beech Ridge Saturday
Canaan, NH — After an unexpected week off thanks to Mother Nature, the Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to the State of Maine, and the famed Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, in Scarboro, Saturday night, August 6, when the open-wheel, 600 horse-powered modifieds, compete in a 100 lap green-flag event.
Saturday’s event will be the Series fifth appearance at the historic speedway. To date, five different drivers have visited victory lane, at “The Ridge.”

TRAVIS BEALE TAKES LITTLE ENDURO FINALE AT 95
Travis Beale of Hampden followed Darren Durrell of Newburgh for 19 and ¾ laps of the 20 lap Little Enduro feature Wednesday night at Speedway 95, but took the lead coming out of turn four on the last lap to post his 4th feature win of the season. Durrell finished in second, but won the season championship in the division after 8 years of trying. Durrell admitted to slowing down just a bit on the last lap to be sure he finished the race to clinch the points title. Ted Ryder of Carmel placed a close third after starting 16th in the 20 car field. Garrett Hayman of Milford drove another steady race, finishing fourth, with Jeremy Scott of Carmel finishing in fifth. Ryder and Durrell were the night’s heat race winners.
