PASS Sets March Dates For 2016 South Super Late Model Openers
CHARLOTTE, NC (September 8) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry announced late today that the 2016 season for the PASS South Super Late Models will begin at two familiar Carolina speedways. The South’s longest running and most prestigious Super Late Model championship will begin on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Ron Barfield’s Dillon Motor Speedway with the 11th Annual South Carolina Clash. Then, on Saturday, March 26, 2016, PASS will make its annual trek to Hickory Motor Speedway for one of the Spring’s biggest short track events, the 11th Annual Easter Bunny 150. Both races will include optional practice for competitors on the Friday preceding each event and support divisions will be announced in the coming weeks.

The New Hampshire driver is looking for his fifth win of 2015
(Epping, NH) – As the year winds down, the goal for young racer Derek Griffith becomes clearer. The Hudson, NH native is looking to secure his first Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) Championship.This weekend the GSPSS will invade Star Speedway as part of the 50th Annual Star Classic and will stage a 100 lap event on Sunday September 12, 2015.
Griffith, the driver of the No. 12 MOM’s of Manchester/LCM Racing Toyota Camry leads the second place point runner of Barry Gray by 30 points entering the second to last points counting event. “We have two events left; we are very excited to be racing as part of the prestigious Star Classic this year. Heywood Bookends Airborne Park Speedway Season for Historic Fourth Title
Turner wins second Renegade championship; LaVair celebrates first Mini-Mod crown
PLATTSBURGH, NY – Nick Heywood finished his season at Airborne Park Speedway the same way he started it – in victory lane – and used an incredible run of consistency between his wins to capture a record fourth consecutive track championship on Saturday, September 5. The Plattsburgh native accomplished the milestone at the Huntley Trucking/Ernie’s Discount Tools Championship Night event for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series presented by Yandow Sales & Service and John Deere.
The J&S Steel Modified division ran a pair of 50-lap extra-distance races to wrap up their championship schedule, with Morrisonville racer Jason Durgan taking the win in the opening round. Low-buck racer Speedy Bresette led the opening 14 laps before Durgan was able to make his way past and sail to his fourth win of the year. Late Model standout Bobby Therrien of Hinesburg, VT finished an impressive second in his first Modified race of the year, followed by Leon Gonyo – from 18th starting position – Heywood, and rookie Timex Morgan.

Road to Glory: Stock Car Road Race Challenge Will Play Role in Championship Standings
THOMPSON, CT – The Stock Car Road Race Challenge will not only test driver’s ability to negotiate right turns, but the event, taking place on September 11-12 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, will play a large role in the points championships, as well.
Roger Turbush leads Frank Dumicich, Jr. in the Mr. Rooter New England Truck Series standings entering Friday and Saturday’s event. Turbush’s lead is thirty-one points, with four races remaining on the schedule, but none is more intriguing to Turbush than the Stock Car Road Race Challenge (SCRRC).

Kimball Takes the Sportsman Modified Checkers
Winchester, NH: This past Saturday there was a full venue of racing at high bank ¼ mile of Monadnock Speedway. The evening’s winners included Bill Kimball, Joel Monahan, Solomon Brow, Tim Leblanc and Dan Starkweather for the weekly racing divisions. In the visiting NEMA tour, Joey Payne took the checkers as Megan Cuginl won the NEMA Lite feature event.
Jaret Curtis paced the field in the Young Guns for their feature event. By lap seven, Dan Starkweather took control of the number one spot as Jaret Curtis held off brother Chase Curtis for second. Cole Littlewood running in fourth started to reel in Curtis for third. With two laps to go, Chase Curtis and Littlewood make contact setting up for a two lap shoot out. On the final lap, Starkweather cruised into victory lane followed by Jaret Curtis and Littlewood making a late pass on Hailey Guy for third.
