ACTTrépanier Gets First Série ACT Win of Season at Autodrome St-Felicien

St-Felicien, QC – Série American-Canadian Tour (ACT) point leader Dany Trépanier broke into the winner’s circle for the first time this season by capturing the St-Felicien 150 at Quebec’s Autodrome St-Felicien on Saturday, August 1.

The St-Edourard, QC driver won the first segment of the two-segment event, leading the final 19 laps en route to the win. Trépanier then finished second to former Série ACT Champion Jean-François Déry in the second segment to take the overall win with a combined score of three points. It is the third Série ACT win of Trépanier’s career and first since July 2014.

(Oyster Bed Bridge, PE, August 1, 2015) – Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) took home his second win on the season tonight in the Lucas Oil 100 at Oyster Bed Speedway; MacKinnon’s first win this season came in the Linde 100 at Petty International Raceway in June. MacKinnon had a back and forth battle with Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) who had to settle for second. Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) rallied from the rear of the field to finish in third. John Flemming (Halifax, NS) and Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE), who won this event last season, completed the top five.

Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) won Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials with a blistering lap of 13.528 seconds. Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) picked up the win in the King Freight Dash for Cash. Joel Hickox (Cornwall, PE) picked up his first career Dartmouth Dodge Heat Race victory along with fellow Islander Jonathan Hicken. DJ Casey (Prospect, NS) took home Exide Batteries rookie of the race award with his 11th place finish.

Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials have announced the disqualification of Karl Allard from the Chaudiere 150 held at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallée-Jct., QC on July 11 and 12.

Allard crossed the finish line in fifth place, but was found to have an illegally altered left-front tire during post-race technical inspection, which was recently confirmed by the team after the tire was sent to American Racer headquarters for further evaluation.

(Halifax, NS, June 10, 2015) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is heading to the high banks of Riverside International Speedway this Saturday, June 13th for the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150. This will be the first event of the season for the track located just outside of Antigonish in James River, NS and round three of 12 for the popular stock car racing series. Grandstand gates for the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150 open at 2:00 PM; Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials will get underway at 5:10 PM with racing slated for 6:00 PM.

BLENKHORN GOES TWO FOR TWO AT IRVING OIL BLENDING & PACKAGING 100

(Moncton, NB, May 30, 2015) – Dylan Blenkhorn of Truro, Nova Scotia recorded his second Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour feature win in as many races by driving to victory lane in the Irving Oil Blending & Packaging 100 at Petty International Raceway. Blenkhorn made the winning pass in his #67 Quinn Flooring Chevrolet on the outside of Greg Proude’s #29 Atlantic Dodge Dealers Dodge on Lap 61 and held on for his fifth career Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour victory. Darren MacKinnon (Milton Station, PE) made a last lap pass in the final corner on Proude (Springvale, PE) to take second. Proude was third with Marty Prevost (Fall River, NS) and Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) completing the top five.

BLENKHORN TAKES HOME FIRST VICTORY OF THE PRO STOCK TOUR SEASON

(Halifax, NS, May 24, 2015) – In a race that was dominated by Porter’s Lake, Nova Scotia’s Cole Butcher, it was Dylan Blenkhorn of Truro who eventually captured his fourth career win on the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Sunday at Scotia Speedworld during the Lucas Oil 100. Blenkhorn led the final seven laps of the event after taking the lead from Dylan Gosbee of Cornwall, PE on lap 93. Gosbee wrestled the lead away from Butcher on lap 85 and finished second behind Blenkhorn’s #67 Quinn Flooring Chevrolet. Two-time series champion Shawn Turple rallied to finish third after a fluid leak forced the Enfield, NS driver pit side just past the halfway point in the race. Donald Chisholm (Antigonish) and Butcher completed the top five.

Gosbee set the pace in Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials by setting a Fast Time of 14.205 seconds. Butcher won the King Freight Dash for Cash and the right to start the 15th Anniversary season from the pole position. The remainder of the 24 car field was set through the Dartmouth Dodge Heat Races which were won by New Glasgow’s George Koszkulics and Sydney’s Jerome Kehoe. DJ Casey (Prospect, NS) captured the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race Award with a 14th place finish in his first career Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour start.
