(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing action with Girls Night Out / Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund Track Walk program with all 6 divisions in action plus a track walk that raised money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Following SK Modified® post-race inspection, Ronnie Williams’ car did not meet the minimum frame height requirement and he was disqualified from his victory, making Todd Owen a feature winner at Stafford for the first time since September 2012. Taking down feature victories were on the night were Ronnie Williams in the SK Modified® feature, Josh Wood in the Late Model feature, Tony Membrino, Jr. in the SK Light feature, Bryan Narducci in the Ltd. Late Model feature, Zack Robinson in the DARE Stock feature, and Teddy Hodgdon in the Legend Cars feature.
In the 40-lap SK Modified® feature event, the field didn’t complete a lap before the caution came out for Tyler Hines, who came to a stop against the turn 3 wall. (more…)

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Ted Christopher of Plainville, CT is no stranger to NAPA Victory Lane at Stafford Speedway with 103 career SK Modified® victories. His most recent feature win this past Friday night in the 3rd Annual NAPA Auto Parts SK 5k brought him the largest payday of his SK Modified® career. Christopher’s win entitled him to a winner’s share of $11,175 from the over $33,000 in total posted awards.

Christopher started the race from the 13th position with his familiar #13 JVIII Construction / Sterling Security machine and worked his way towards the front, taking the lead for the first time on lap-36. Once Christopher was out front, he never relinquished the lead as he led the final 65 laps of the race to claim his large payday.

This event will feature drivers from two of the premier vintage racing clubs in the Northeast, the Vintage Racer Group (VRG) and Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA), on the historic road course. In its third year of running, the event continues to grow as one of the most anticipated races of the season at Thompson.

WATERFORD – Third year SK Modified division driver Paul Kusheba IV scored his long awaited first career victory in the division Saturday to showcase the racing card at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

Anthony Flannery was victorious in the Late Model feature. Tony Membrino Jr. scored victory in the SK Light Modified feature. Al Stone III was victorious in the Limited Sportsman feature. Charles Canfield won the Mini Stock feature. Duane Noll won in the debut of the track’s new Truck division.

The 21-year Kusheba of Monroe was up to the task of handling numerous restarts to get his first victory in the 35-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature.
