TONY MEMBRINO, JR. CAPTURES 2010 DARE STOCK CHAMPIONSHIP AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—In what is becoming a DARE Stock tradition at
Stafford Motor Speedway, Tony Membrino, Jr. won the DARE Stock championship
after winning the season opening Tech-Net Spring Sizzler feature event.
Membrino is the third consecutive DARE Stock driver to accomplish the feat,
following Norm Sears in 2008 and Don Wood in 2009. (more…)
DAN FLANNERY TAKES 2010 LIMITED LATE MODEL CHAMPIONSHIP AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—After being in position to win the Limited Late
Model championship a season ago only to have a flat tire shatter his
championship hopes, Dan Flannery came into the 2010 season as one of the
championship favorites. After leading the championship standings for much
of the year, Flannery and the #41 TSI Columbia Harley-Davidson/LaRosa Earth
Group team punctuated their championship season with a thrilling victory in

RYAN POSOCCO TAKES HOME FIFTH CAREER LATE MODEL TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP AT
STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—While Ryan Posocco locked up his fifth career Late
Model track championship this past Sunday at Stafford Motor Speedway, it was
not without some close calls during the final race of the season as Posocco
tried to keep pace with Woody Pitkat. First Posocco had to dodge several
incidents that happened directly in front of him and then he had to contend
with a car that wasn’t quite coming up to speed on restarts. (more…)
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Series headed for the Stafford Motor Speedway this past weekend for the annual Fall Final which carried a purse of $83,609. The event drew 31 cars. Justin Bonsignore bounced back from his recent disappointment at Thompson to capture his second Coors Lite pole of the year with a sizzling run of 18.355 seconds around the half mile oval. The young Long Island racer had recently won an open competition event at Thompson only to have the victory stripped away because he didn’t use the proper gasoline. Eric Beers was second fastest with Mike Stefanik, third, Eric Berndt and Ryan Preece rounded out the top five. Sixth through tenth were Ed Flemke Jr, Rowan Pennink, Ron Silk, Eric Rudolph and Bobby Santos III. In the re-draw for the start Beers drew the pole with Flemke drawing the outside pole spot. Bonsignore drew the seventh starting spot. (more…)
