MATT GALKO WINS RELIABLE WELDING AND SPEED SK LIGHT MODIFIED ROOKIE OF THE
YEAR HONORS AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the second consecutive season, Stafford’s SK
Light Modified division saw a rookie driver win the track championship as
well as the Reliable Welding and Speed Rookie of the Year title. Matt Galko
followed Michael Gervais, Jr. in turning the feat, giving car owner Tim Rowe
his first championship as a car owner at Stafford. Galko was locked in a
season long duel with fellow rookie competitors Tommy Barrett, Jr. and Joey
Cipriano, III for both the track championship as well as the rookie title.
“You can only be Rookie of the Year once, so it was nice to win that award,”
said Galko. “Our goal at the beginning of the season was to win Rookie of
the Year, but we never figured that we would be able to win the championship
in our first season. Towards the middle of the season, Joey and Tommy were
both up there in the points, so we figured that we would have to win the
championship in order to win the Rookie of the Year.” (more…)

TIM FOGG WINS RELIABLE WELDING AND SPEED LATE MODEL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR HONORS AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—After several years away from competition at
Stafford, former SK Light Modified competitor Tim Fogg returned to the Late
Model division this season and he captured the 2010 Reliable Welding and
Speed Rookie of the Year award. Fogg and the #51 Rollins Automotive team
made 7 starts this season with a best finish of 11th coming in the season
ending CARQUEST Fall Final event. (more…)

JOSH SYLVESTER WINS RELIABLE WELDING AND SPEED SK MODIFIED® ROOKIE OF THE YEAR HONORS AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the second time in his racing career, Josh
Sylvester has become a Reliable Welding and Speed Rookie of the Year winner.
Sylvester previously was the 2007 SK Light Modified Rookie of the Year and
he is now the 2010 SK Modified® Rookie of the Year, outlasting a pair of
former SK Light Modified drivers in John Montesanto and Michael Gervais, Jr.
For the season, Sylvester drove to 1 top-5 and 5 top-10 finishes this season
to finish in 16th place in the SK Modified® standings. (more…)

STAFFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY RELEASES ITS 2011 NASCAR WHELEN ALL-AMERICAN SERIES
EVENT SCHEDULE
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway has released its 2011
NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event schedule. SMS will host a total of
23 racing events, with the 2011 NASCAR season kicking off with the 40th
Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST on April 29-May 1, and
concluding with the 39th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend on September

SAME FOR 8th CONSECUTIVE SEASON

Season Paddock, Gold Stadium Reserved, Top Row Reserved, General Admission,
and Stafford Speedway’s Kids Club season ticket packages. Stafford’s
Reserved, General Admission, and Kids Club season ticket plans will remain
at the same price level for the eighth consecutive season while Stafford’s
Season Paddock Pass plan will remain at the same price level for the fourth

STAFFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY TO HONOR ITS TRACK CHAMPIONS
AT 41ST ANNUAL CHAMPIONS AWARDS CEREMONY ON NOVEMBER 19TH
(Stafford Springs, CT)—With the 2010 Stafford Motor Speedway season
concluded, the speedway will honor its track champions at the 41st Annual
Stafford Motor Speedway Champions Awards Ceremony on Friday, November 19 at
the La Renaissance Banquet Facility in East Windsor. A crowd of over 500
guests is expected to be on hand as the Connecticut half-mile hands out its
