It is still very early in the season but 13 year old Reid Lanpher of Manchester, Maine has picked up right where he finished his rookie season in NELCAR… up front.
Starting on the outside pole in his heat race at the season opening race at Unity Raceway, Lanpher led every lap and was a half a straightaway ahead when the checkers fell. Starting outside of Matthew Bourgoine for the feature, Lanpher made several runs and Bourgoine and was on his bumper several times but was not able to pass his friend from karting days and settled for a 2nd place finish. The Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour made a return to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Sylvania 300 Nascar Sprint Cup Series event. This race was huge not only because it had only the best of the best in New England in this invitational only event, but also because it marked a year since the first event for Legends Cars at “The Magic Mile.” Although the racing is much different than most drivers in the North East are used too, they have adapted well and put on a great show for the thousands who packed into the seats. Those fans were treated to a spectacular race as the drivers took to the quarter mile as the pre race for the Sylvania 300. (more…)
NELCAR returns to New Hampshire Motor Speedway to race on the “Mini Magic Mile”, and Rookie driver Ryan Hammar, is ready to make some magic. Finishing in the top 10 every race this season at NHMS, and with a best finish of 5th place. Going into the final T.N.T Legends race of the season at BRMS, Evan Beaulieu was 3 points behind Kevin Hutchinson. Starting the race in the rear of the field, the 56 legend car quickly made its way to mid pack, when a wreck took out most of the leaders including the #27 car of Hutchinson. (more…)
