SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, finished 20th in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 8. Babb, the reigning NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion at the track, joined a host of other contenders in being collected in a multi-car incident on a Lap 2 restart that ended his night early in the No. 4 Babb Wood Contractors/McGoldrick Bros. Blasting Chevrolet. After a spin in qualifying, Babb started 16th in the main event but never completed a complete lap at speed before the accident.

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series: Bobby Timmons
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, finished 21st in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 8. Timmons was among several cars who were collected in a multi-car incident on a Lap 2 restart after a mid-pack car spun in front of the rest of the field. Timmons started 12th in the main event after a solid effort in both practice and qualifying earlier in the day, but saw his feature efforts thwarted with a wrecked race car before even getting a single full lap at speed.

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series: Bradley Babb

SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, finished second in the season-opening NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 1. Babb, the reigning NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion at the track, started 4th in the 24-car field after missing most of the day’s practice while trying to resolve a mechanical issue with the No. 4 Babb Wood Contractors/McGoldrick Bros. Blasting Chevrolet. He never ran outside the Top-5 in the main event, emerging from some spirited racing with the runner-up finish. Babb joins the rest of the field when they return next weekend, June 8, for the second race of the season.

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series: Bobby Timmons

SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, finished fifth in the season-opening NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 1. Timmons recovered from misfortune in his qualifying race and a mid-pack starting spot to roll to the Top-5 in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep/Timmons Machine Dodge. Timmons was one of many drivers to come out of the feature event showing signs of a rough night behind the wheel, but he was encouraged by a strong start to the season. He’ll return to action next Saturday night, June 8, for Round No. 2 of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at the .333-mile oval.

THE STORY
WINDHAM, Maine – Third-generation champion Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, returns to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, May 25, for the season-opening Pro Series 40. Babb won the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track championship at Beech Ridge last season after winning this race, and he plans on trying to become the track’s first third-generation multi-time champion – after both his grandfather, Robert Babb Sr., and father, Bobby Babb, each won multiple championships during their careers at the .333-mile oval. The No. 4 Babb Wood Contractors/McGoldrick Bros. Blasting Chevrolet will be joined in the field by the No. 14 Chevrolet for Bobby Babb in 2013. (more…)
