Scarborough, ME – DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire drove from 19th starting position to victory lane in Saturday’s Southern Maine Motors 150 for Pro All Stars Series Super Late Models at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine.
Shaw methodically worked his way through a stellar field of contenders aboard his Precision JLM Ford, taking the lead away from Berwick, Maine’s Joey Doiron with about 30 laps remaining, then cruising to the checkered flag with relative ease once in command.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Preview
THE STORY
WESTBROOK, Maine – John Peters of Westbrook, Maine, hopes to rebound from engine troubles last time out when the Amsoil NELCAR Legends Tour competes in a 25-lap feature at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, May 4. Peters finished sixth last time out at Speedway 95 in Hermon, Maine, two weeks ago – but was sidelined by a blown engine for the date the following day at Oxford Plains Speedway. Peters made his NELCAR debut at Beech Ridge with a 10th-place finish last September, just weeks after becoming the youngest champion in track history at 15 years old when he won the Beetle Bug JV title for entry-level cars as part of the 10-week VIP Thursday Thunder series.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Preview
THE STORY
WINDHAM, Maine – Third-generation driver Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, returns to the PASS North Series for the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, May 4. Babb won the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track championship in the Pro Series at Beech Ridge last season, and he’s hoping that the “home track advantage” will play in his favor this weekend. Babb won the pole for the season-opening PASS race at Oxford Plains Speedway two weeks ago and was running inside the Top-10 when he was shuffled back on a late-race restart and had to settle for a 13th-place finish. He’ll bring the same brand new Dale Shaw Race Cars chassis to the track that debuted for that Oxford race on April 21.

NAPLES, ME (April 30) – Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, ME has long been one of the stalwarts on the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model schedule. The facility has hosted PASS events since 2006 and provides some of the closest action seen anywhere on the circuit. And, much like the first event of the season at Oxford Plains Speedway, this weekend’s Southern Maine Motors 150 will serve as a precursor to one of the biggest races of the season, the PASS 400 weekend at Beech Ridge in September. In fact, the racing has been so competitive that in the last five PASS events at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, five different drivers have gone to victory lane. Among those drivers is Joey Doiron, who scored his first career PASS North victory in last year’s Southern Maine Motors 150. And, if last year’s races are any indication, Doiron believes there will be no substitution for a good setup.
