EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – It’s been 2 long months since Emily Packard had her car out on a race track, and she cannot wait to hit the track this weekend. The team has spent the last couple of months working on fine tuning from what was learned during Florida Speed Weeks in February. “New Smyrna was a great opportunity for us to shake down the car and find any issues that we needed to work out prior to the first points race of the season,” said Packard. “We found a couple small things that we were able to fix over the last few weeks, and the car is ready to go this weekend.”
Packard and the team are focusing on running the American Canadian Tour full time this year, and not running a weekly series at a specific track, allowing for the team to really focus on preparing the cars for each individual race track. “I am thrilled to be running the American Canadian Tour again this season, with the anticipation of going to new tracks as well as returning to tracks that we race at last year,” said Packard, “Concentrating on the ACT Tour will allow us to set up the car just once a weekend, and really give us the chance to dial it in during practice.”

PASS And ACT Prepare For Historic Doubleheader At Oxford Plains Speedway
NAPLES, ME (April 9) – What once seemed like an impossibility will be a reality in in just over a week when the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models and American Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models race on the same weekend at the same race track for the first time in history. On Saturday, April 18 at Oxford Plains Speedway, the Northeast’s two premier stock car sanctioning bodies will kick off their 2015 season with Twin 150 lappers. New series sponsors, AIM Recycling and Kenny U-Pull will present the PASS portion of the history making event, while Dave’s Small Engine Repair and Walker Mowers sponsor the ACT Late Model race.
Hudson, NH’s Joey Polewarczyk is the defending ACT Late Model champion, but has raced extensively throughout his career in Super Late Models. Polewarczyk most recently drove a PASS Super Late Model in last year’s Mason Dixon Meltdown. “Joey Pole” as he is known throughout the racing fraternity, along with Maine’s Travis Stearns, plan to compete in both the PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Model Presented By Kenny U-Pull feature and the ACT Late Model race. Although he knows 300 laps at Oxford Plains Speedway will not be easy, Polewarcyzk is excited about his busy weekend.

Anderson, SC – After a solid first outing in the #4 Woodman Racing Super Late Model, Joey Doiron made the trek down south once again for the second Pro All Stars Series South and the first in the PASS National championship at Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, South Carolina. After working on the car’s handling throughout the day, the team got the car right for the feature. Doiron drove to the front and fought with eventual winner Ben Rowe for the win after contact while racing for the win lead to Doiron finishing the event in the sixth position.
“I’m proud of how far we came today, this car was really good at the beginning of the race,” Doiron said of his race, “I was racing with Ben (Rowe) and we were putting on a great race and unfortunately we just got together a little bit and it knocked our toe out, it was just hard racing for the win, that’s what people come here to see.” (more…)
