asrffsdrGeoff Rollins passed Joe Arena on a restart on lap 8, and never looked back, powering to the victory in the Christmas in July event at Monadnock Speedway.

Rollins used the outside groove on an early race restart on lap 8, when Charlestown, NH driver Bryan Town’s rear-end expired, bringing out the caution. Rollins would fend off challenges from Chris Douton and Arena on five other restarts, the final one on lap 38, setting up a green-white-checker finish. Rollins jumped ahead, as Mike Palin spun on the final lap, collecting Armand Cote, ending the race under caution.

sdgdfgdfEddie MacDonald of Rowley, Massachusetts added another page to his impressive New Hampshire Motor Speedway resume, scoring an impressive victory in the AIM 60 Pro All Stars Series race, the first-ever Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model race at the “Magic Mile.”

It was the seventh victory on the 1.058-mile oval for MacDonald, a three-time winner in NASCAR K&N East Series competition at NHMS, to go along with three race victories in ACT Invitational Late Model competition.

asrffsdrVeteran stock car driver Tim LaDuc of Orwell, VT made a triumphant return to victory lane on Sunday, July 5, winning the WhistlePig Straight Rye Whiskey Independence Day Special at The Dirt Track at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. LaDuc ended a five-year victory drought and carried the checkered flag in the 50-lap Liberty Street Discount Beverage & Deli Sportsman Modified race after a race-long fight with Josh Sunn. Other winners on the night included Chris Donnelly, Dan Douville, Curtis Condon, and Jesse Durkee.

sdfsdgdrydLocal driver Jason Corliss continued his resurgence after a tough start to the season by winning the North Country Federal Credit Union Late Model Trophy Dash at Thunder Road on Thursday, June 25.

Corliss started fourth and took the lead from Matt White on lap 29 of the 50-lap event. He then held off a late charge from sophomore competitor Josh Demers to earn his first win of the year and third of his Thunder Road Late Model career.

(Thompson, CT) – The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) teams have been working hard the last couple weeks getting ready for a marathon run of races at all three of Connecticut’s short tracks. The Mr. Rooter 125 on Wednesday, June 10 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) will mark the last of the three races held within a 12-day span. With three different drivers winning the first four races of the season, the battle for the championship is already off to an exciting start.

Ryan Preece currently holds the top position, after winning the last two NWMT races at Waterford New-London Speedbowl and Stafford Motor Speedway. Woody Pitkat, who has also scored a win this season, is next in the standings and is looking for his first NWMT championship after a breakout season in 2014. Last year’s champion, and winner of the first NWMT race of the season at TSMP, Doug Coby will look to climb to the top of the standings with another win at the Mr. Rooter 125.
