Judge Richard McNamara has thrown out a verdict that would have required New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) to pay almost a million to cancel its contract with Motor Racing Network (MRN). McNamara ruling was because the jury based its award on MRN’s projected lost profits. Project lost profits can not be a basis for damages. The case start due to NHMS canceling it contract with MRN without giving the necessary termination notice.
