Buxton,Maine- Ryan Phillips Motorsports is excited to announce that for the 2012 racing season they will be competing full time on the Pro All Stars Series Modified division. The family owned team recently took delivery of a PASS modified purchased from Dale Shaw of Center Conway New Hampshire. It is the same PASS Modified that Shaw drove to victory at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway during the PASS 400 weekend back in September.

ACT and Thunder Road Announce Separate Banquets

Waterbury, VT – For the first time in several years the American-Canadian Tour has announced separate banquets for the 2011 ACT competitors and the 2011 Thunder Road competitors. The ACT Late Model Tour (US) and the Série ACT Castrol (Canada) Banquet of Champions will be held at the Doubletree Inn in Burlington, VT on Saturday, January 21, while the Thunder Road Banquet of Champions will be at the Elks Club in Barre, VT on Saturday, December 10, 2011.

Collectables Show At The Shriner’s Auditorium Draws Lots Of Sports Memorabilia Aficionados.

The recent three day “Greater Boston Sports Collectors Club Presents The Big Event” was held at the Shriner’s Auditorium in Wilmington, MA, celebrating the 26th anniversary of the Club and the 25th anniversary of the 1986 Red Sox Team. On hand for autographs were Cal Ripken, Jr., Vida Blue, Orlando Cepeda, Bruins players Tyler Sequin and Tim Thomas, Bruins coach Claude Julian, Gino Capelletti and Mickey Ward. Also on hand were Wade Boggs, former Red Sox player and Hall of Famer, and Jim Rice.

New Era Begins for Bruno Family at Devil’s Bowl Speedway

WEST HAVEN, VT — A new era has begun for Vermont sports: Devil’s Bowl Speedway has new leadership. Vermont business owners Mike and Alayne Bruno have purchased the 75-acre facility and plan to host a full season of stock car racing in 2012.
Devil’s Bowl Speedway is a NASCAR-sanctioned, half-mile paved stock car track located in West Haven, VT, 15 minutes from Rutland, the state’s second-largest city.

The co-owner and president of Rutland-based Bruno’s Towing, 40 year-old Mike Bruno is a champion stock car driver with well over 50 victories. He began racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in 1988, following in the footsteps of his late father, John, a multi-time track champion.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – With winter quickly approaching and the sleds coming together, Team Southside is proud to announce their rider lineup for the 2011-2012 ECS racing season.

In what was literally the 11th hour, the deal was finalized to bring Wisconsin native Dylan Martin to Team Southside on the East Coast. Dylan will be a great asset for the team both on and off the track. With a history of great results on the track, he is known all over as one of the great snocross racers.

PASS North recognizes racers at annual Banquet of Champions

Naples ME (11/7) Pro All Stars Series racers, teams, sponsors and fans packed the Howard Johnson’s Conference Center in Westbrook Maine Friday evening to celebrate the 2011 season, a festive night of awards, food and socializing.

Mike Mayberry filled in for series President Tom Mayberry at the podium, kicking off the ceremony with the Presidents special recognition awards. The PASS Mods Sportsmanship award was presented to Alan Wilson; Sumner Sessions received the Hard Luck Award and the Most Improved driver of 2011 was Dana Reed. The PASS Sportsman were up next and Donnie Morse earned the Sportsmanship Award, the Hard Luck driver was Shane Tatro and Craig Smith was Most Improved. Alex Gingras earned the title of Most Improved driver in the PASS North Super Late Model series, Joey Doiron was recognized for the Hard Luck he experienced in 2011 and Maritime racer Matt Matheson earned the Super Late Model Sportsmanship award.
