Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl Race Preview
Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., looks to capture his second Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200 when the ACT Late Model Tour heads to its home track, Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., on Sunday, September 4. Only three races stand between Hoar and an unprecedented eighth ACT championship for both he and RPM Motorsports. After three wins at Thunder Road in the late ’90s, Hoar has found himself running in the Top-5 at what he considers one of the “weakest tracks” for both himself and the No. 37 GossCars.com Dodge. Yet, despite that, Hoar has not finished outside of the Top-10 this season and has notched four wins.

(Barre, VT) – ACT Late Model Standout Joey Polewarczyk Jr of Hudson, NH looks for redemption in a race that he led the most laps in, last season.

STAFFORD LATE MODEL TITLE FIGHT AGAIN COMING DOWN TO HOMETOWN DRIVERS RYAN POSOCCO AND WOODY PITKAT
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Just as it was one year ago, the fight for the
Stafford Speedway Late Model track championship is coming down to two
hometown drivers, Ryan Posocco and Woody Pitkat. Posocco currently leads
Pitkat by 32 points in the chase for the championship with 4 races left on
the 2011 calendar. Last season, the championship was not decided until the
final lap of the CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend race. At this time last
season, Posocco led Pitkat by 38 points, but a crash by Posocco, combined
with a win by Pitkat, tightened up the championship fight for the final 2
races of the season. The 2010 championship was decided by only 2 points, or
one position on the track, in Posocco’s favor, and both drivers know that
although time is running out, anything can happen.
