Unity, Maine – David Folsom II scored his first Late Model feature race victory Saturday night at Unity Raceway in a hard-fought 35-lap race. The Skowhegan newlywed, known as ‘Deuce,’ raced hard for the lead throughout the event – first with veteran hotshoe Jeff Burgess of East Madison who led half the race, then later holding off Freedom teen Dylan Turner in the closing laps.
Turner claimed runner-up honors in one of the most exciting main events of the season, while Burgess had to settle for third-place hardware. Burnham’s Brian Whiney crossed the line in fourth position, followed by the winner’s father, David Folsom I of Skowhegan. Deuce Folsom and Corey Walker of Strong posted heat race victories.
