HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Sept. 21, 2011) – At the outset of the 1992 presidential election, William Jefferson Clinton, with just 3 percent of the vote, finished fourth in the Iowa Democratic Caucus. He was beaten handily by longtime Iowa Senator Tom Harkin, who not surprisingly won 76 percent of the vote, while 12 percent voted “uncommitted,” and 4 percent chose Massachusetts Senator Paul Tsongas.

It appeared as though his campaign was in trouble, but Clinton rallied in the New Hampshire Primary one week later as he finished a solid second behind Tsongas despite trailing by a large margin in most polls leading up to Election Day. (more…)

Cody Hodgson Eager For New Hampshire Return

Dave Davis Motorsports Wants Another Crack At Series’ Biggest Track

DENVER, N.C. – Since he left the speedway back in July, Cody Hodgson has been champing at the bit for another crack at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

When the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East heads to the track for this weekend’s New Hampshire 125, Hodgson will get that crack. Practice and qualifying are slated for Thursday, weather permitting, with the green flag at 5 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Joey Polewarczyk looks to get back on track at the Magic Mile of NHMS on Sept. 24

(Loudon, NH)- When you think of the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, you can’t help but think of Joey Polewarczyk Jr. The Hudson, NH native drove his Black #97 Ford Fusion to Victory Lane in the second running of the Invitational in 2010 and then went on to win the Vermont Milk Bowl and the season ending race at the Waterford Speedbowl.

After earning the pole position in qualifying on Friday afternoon, Newman went wire to wire – driving from his No. 1 starting spot to victory lane – for his 15th Sprint Cup win, his third at New Hampshire and his first in 2011.

FORT KENT, Maine – Austin Theriault enjoyed every minute of his coming-out party at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last month.

On Saturday, Theriault hopes to celebrate an even better performance.

The 17-year-old ACT Late Model Tour sophomore driver joins 42 other Late Model teams from across the northeast and Canada in the 3rd annual ACT Invitational at New Hampshire on Saturday. Teams will practice in the morning before taking the green flag for the 50-lap ACT Invitational shortly after 5:30 p.m.
