The NELCAR Legends returned once again to the Mini Magic Mile and there was a new face in victory lane as Tom Gray scores his 1st NELCAR Victory at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS). Gray is now one of three NELCAR legends drivers that has made the trip to victory lane. The other 2 are Shaun Buffington who has won 7 races at NHMS and, Anthony Flannery, who won the 1st Mini Magic Mile race in 2010.

Hudson Race Report – August 21, 2011

Hudson N.H. –The 9th annual Don Hayes Memorial was held this past Sunday, August 21st at Hudson International Speedway. The race honored the speedways longtime photographer/videographer who passed away in April 2002. Hayes was a photo buff returning home from WW ll and looking for some action when he came across auto racing and began a love affair that lasted until his passing.

Sixteen cars enter Gary’s Disposal 100 in series’ debut at Twin State Speedway

CLAREMONT, NH — Chris Wilk etched his name in the record books as the first-ever winner on the new Granite State Pro Stock Series on Friday night, winning the Gary’s Disposal 100 at Twin State Speedway. Wilk survived a green-white-checker restart and a late charge from Donnie Lashua for the win.

RESULTS FOR LEE USA SPEEDWAY

Lee, NH – The annual Ollie Silva Memorial ISMA Supermodified Classic was the headline attraction at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, and the traveling series put an impressive, caution-free 75-lap main event into the record books in less than 18 minutes.

Russ Wood, winner of the inaugural ISMA event at Lee USA back in October 1988, broke out to the early lead, and set the pace for the first 29 laps before losing the top spot to Jeff Locke, a former Small Block Supermodified competitor at Lee. Wood retired to the pits with mechanical issues two laps later.

Tom Gray Takes Over At NHMS

The Thursday Thunder series came to a close this past week at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. With just three points separating leader Kevin Hutchens and second place Evan Beaulieu, this was one of the closest battles for the championship that the series has ever seen. Along with the points battle, there was plenty of drivers who were looking for a win before the season ended. For the final time in 2011, the Legends took the track for what was set to be a fantastic close to the season.

Joey Roberts Wins Tiger Tour 100 at Canaan Fair Speedway

Canaan, NH – Joey Roberts of Georgia, Vermont picked up his first career Bond/WIX Tiger Tour win at Canaan Fair Speedway on Saturday, August 20. Roberts started on the outside pole and settled in behind pole sitter Joe Steffen for the first 22 circuits. Roberts managed to take the lead on the restart following the first caution of the 100 lap event.

Steffen would challenge Roberts until suffering a flat tire coming to the green on the second restart of the race on lap 47. Steffen would lose three laps in the pits while changing the tire. Current point leader Derrick O’Donnell would take over second and stuck with Roberts over the second half of the event. Roberts had his hands full trying to hold off O’Donnell who at one point got around Roberts and led on lap 49.
