LOUDON, N.H. (May 11) – Step back in time at New Hampshire Motor Speedway May 17-22 as thousands of legendary racing vehicles from around the world compete during the 21st annual Vintage Racing Celebration.
On Tuesday, May 17, through Thursday, May 19, take in the sights and sounds of racing as it was during the early years. This historically significant race field will take on the 1.058 “Magic Mile” oval, featuring vintage midgets, sprint cars, champ cars, roadsters, NASCAR stock cars and even Indy cars. (more…)

THE STORY
Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, looks for a second straight Top-5 finish to open the PASS North Series season in the Star 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H., on Saturday, May 14. Sommerville, who has joined Mulkern Racing to compete full-time in the series for the first time, comes off a strong fourth-place effort in his debut at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway two weeks ago. Sommerville has never competed at Star Speedway, though his home track of Speedway 660 in Geary, N.B., is very similar in size and layout. (more…)
Taylor Martin is one of the new drivers racing in NELCAR this season. Racing in the legends season opener at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS), Taylor finished the race in 15th place but she did make history as the very 1st female driver in NELCAR history and at age 13 to boot.
The NELCAR rules on age “The minimum age for Legends competition is fourteen (14). Twelve-year-olds and thirteen-year-olds may be allowed to compete if they have completed 18 months of documented, INEX Sanctioned, Bandolero racing, with a minimum of forty five (45) races total over this 18-month period.” (more…)

THE STORY
Joey Doiron looks to rebound from a disappointing start to the 2011 season when the PASS North Series competes in the Star 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H., on Saturday, May 14. The 2010 PASS Rookie of the Year won his one and only career start at the newly-resurrected Star Speedway, having taken the checkered flag in an open competition Late Model race at the track in 2008. This marks his first start in a Super Late Model on the flat quarter-mile track.

Lee, NH – Lee USA Speedway opened up the regular season on Friday night, with an action-packed 25-lap Benson Lumber and Hardware sponsored NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Supermodified feature the first event to go into the record books.
Mike Spurling and 2010 Rookie of the Year Tony Carroll led the 16-car field to green, with Spurling gaining the advantage before a quick yellow slowed the action. When racing resumed, George Perreault, Jr. quickly made his way past Spurling and into the lead, setting the pace until lap six. (more…)
