Tom Therrien Wins Bond/WIX Tiger Tour at White Mountain
North Woodstock, NH – Hinesburg’s Tom Therrien earned the first win on the 2010 Bond/WIX Tiger Tour at White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday, June 5. Therrien started in 17th and didn’t take the lead until lap 83, when he got by the 2009 Thunder Road Champion Jimmy Hebert. Therrien would hold off Hebert in a three lap sprint setup by a caution on lap 97. Therrien took the checkers just infront of Hebert in second and his brother Bobby Therrien in third. Hebert had led the majority of the race after the early leader Tony Rossi spun on lap 33.
Thunder Road Late Model star Dave Pembroke finished fourth followed by Jason Bonnett rounding out the top five. ACT Late Model Tour regular Chip Genier took sixth, Joey Roberts seventh, Mike Ziter eighth, Derrick O’Donnell ninth and Eric Badore completed the top ten.

Patriots/Sox Tickets to Benefit Ricky’s Race for Kids at Canaan
Canaan, N.H. — With the 3rd annual Ricky’s Race for Kids to benefit David’s House happening next month, those responsible for the event, in honor of the late Ricky Miller,
are hard at work preparing for the annual fundraiser.
A racing accident left Miller with a severe concussion which ultimately led to his passing in 2004, at the age of 34.

Granite Mini Sprinters Visit Big Daddy’s Speedbowl
It was a busy night at Big Daddy’s Speedbowl on Rt. 25 in Wentworth.
There were two features left from the previous week, and the track
played host to the Granite State Mini-Sprints club. The Mini Sprinters
with their motorcycle engine-based winged sprint cars made their first
of four appearances at Big Daddy’s. You can learn more about these

First Super Stock Win for Brooks
Winchester, NH: Mother nature would play a huge role with tonights feature events as rain shut down the remainder of the feature events just as the pro stocks were taking to the track. But some of the show had already been complete and fans had gotten a taste of fast wheel to wheel racing.
Young Guns were first in their 15 lap feature, which saw pole sitter JT Cloutier put down his first win of the season. Cloutier would set the pace and never look back, leading the race by 1/2 a track. Cloutier, when discussing the win thanked “Mom and Dad” and the folks at Big Boys Racing for some well made adjustments to get him here. Matt Parmenter would take second followed by Adam Manley and his Saturday night BMW.

Hudson NH – Ron Bolduc won the thirty lap Outlaw Sportsman feature race this past Sunday afternoon at Hudson Speedway. Rick Woodside held the lead early until a caution flew and at the ensuing restart Bolduc grabbed the top spot away. From there the race was for second as Bolduc pulled away from the field in the Schoeder and Sons Automotive sponsored machine. Woodside had his hands full for the last half of the race with Peter Fiandaca in his Baker Towing ride and Geoff Rollins in the Sights Signs car all over Woodside’s bumper. Woodside was up to the challenge and held the duo off to finish second. Third through tenth were Rollins, Fiandaca, Bobby Allen, Tim Casey, Kevin Kephardt, Shaun Waites, Sandy Lee and Matt Robinson.
Last seasons points runner up Jef James won his first Roadrunner feature of the 2010 season. Corrie Meritt Jr. had a fantastic run in his first time running Roadrunners coming home second. Jason Carroll had another fine run to capture is third podium finish of the young season. Fourth through tenth were William Elliott, Patrick D’Alba, Erik Miller, Louie Maher, Bob Fields, Kevin Dunklee, and Jennifer Lord. (more…)

Hudson NH – Louie Maher won his second consecutive Don Hayes Memorial race this past Sunday at Hudson International Speedway. Maher won the Roadrunner portion of the Hayes Memorial and Dave Heliwell won the Classic Lites portion.
Hayes was Hudson’s track photographer/videographer for over 50 years until his passing in 2002. Hayes’ racing legacy includes many hours of videos of the early days of the local racing scene, thousands of photos of the early days, and two sons dedicated to the art of racing photography.
