Waterbury, VT – When the forty-three American Canadian Tour Late Model teams hit the track at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 21 for the 5th annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational, they will battle for the $7,500 winner purse. It will be the most ever awarded to the victor and more than double the amount posted for the inaugural event back in 2009.
The early favorites to claim the top prize have to be the past winners on the “Magic Mile.” Veteran ACT competitor Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, NH earned the Invitational win back in 2010. He finished third in last year’s event and is currently the hottest driver on the 2013 American Canadian Tour. He has already earned three Tour wins this season plus captured the inaugural International 500 victory back in July. He has never finished outside the top ten in this event and with a win this year he could pocket over $9,000 after bonuses.

Wentworth Finishes Strong At Oxford Plains
Welch Wins Final Canaan Race, Crazy Horse Cars Fast At NHMS
SOUTH PARIS, Maine – Don Wentworth of Otisfield, Maine, is a veteran stock car driver who won’t quibble with one inevitable truth in short-track racing: It’s better to finish strong than it is to sputter to the finish line and spend all winter trying to figure out what went wrong.
Wentworth made sure he put a solid capper on the 2013 season at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, posting a pair of podium finishes in the final two events of the inaugural Pro Late Model season at the track. Wentworth won the 40-lap feature at Oxford on August 30.

No fewer than four 2013 NASCAR Whelen All-American Racing Series division titles will be decided Saturday, Sept. 14, when Monadnock Speedway hosts its final NASCAR points event of the season.
Bill Kimball, Beth Adams, Chris Davis, and Ed Lofland all lead their respective division entering the points finale, but none of them have the top prize in the bag going into Saturday’s event.
Only Super Stock ace Ed Brehio III has a lock on his division’s title; that aided by a Saturday, September 7, rainout that ensured the third generation driver the championship, while, at the same time, taking two-time defending titlist John Lavoie’s last chance at a threepeat away.

For many of the competitors on the Granite State Pro Stock Series, Saturday, September 14 will be a surreal day for them. It is the next stop on the 2013 schedule for the Granite State Pro Stocks, one that will have major point championship implications.
But more than that, drivers like Jeremy Davis, Zig Gino, Donnie Lashua among many others have spent time in Canaan Fair Speedway Victory Lane. Davis, Gino and Lashua have been honored as champions there as well; Davis will go down as the final Pro Stock champion at the 1/3 mile oval.
Jeremy Davis comes into Canaan Fair Speedway as the most recent winner there from the Granite State Pro Stocks, picking up the win on May 4th, the second event on the schedule. Lashua is the defending winner of this late summer classic, charging to the win on September 16, 2013. This time, for both of these, and many others, it’s personal.

Loudon,
NH – Thirty-five American Canadian Tour Late Model teams attended the annual test and tune session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Wednesday, September 4 in preparation for the 5th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational in a couple weeks. The full day of practice only saw a couple of incidents and several different teams atop the time charts.
Williamstown, VT’s Jimmy Hebert set the fast time of the day with a 31.491 at an average speed of 120.9 mph. Hebert has two ACT wins already this season and is currently sitting third in the standings. Hebert was the cause of the second minor incident of the day as he cut a right front tire and swiped the wall coming off turn two. The car received some damage but he was able to limp it back to the pit area.
