THE STORY

EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – Emily Packard of East Montpelier, Vt., heads “home” for the annual season-opening Subway Fresh Fit 150 at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, May 11. The 16-year-old Late Model driver won the track’s Rookie of the Year title in 2012, finishing second in the overall NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model standings to ACT Late Model Tour champion Wayne Helliwell Jr. Packard made her Late Model debut in the Subway Fresh Fit 150 a year ago by qualifying for the 28-car field, and she’s hoping to turn her home track experience into a strong showing this time around in Canaan’s annual marquee Late Model event.

First All Female Podium In Monadnock Speedway’s History

WINCHESTER, NH – Ed Lofland became the first two-time winner of the young season Saturday, May 4, at Monadnock Speedway, topping the 30-lap Thunder Stock feature.

Defending division champ Kimmy Rivet led an all-female top three under the checkers in the Mini Stock main event, while Adam Norton won his first of the year in the Sportsman Modified main and John Lavoie parlayed his first victory of the summer to jump into the points lead in the Super Stock division.

Other winners on Eve of Cinca De Mayo Night included Cameron Sontag in the Young Guns, Eddie Gilman in the Classic Lites, and Duane Noll, who continued his dominance at the high banked speedplant in the visiting NE Truck Series feature race.

Stebbins and Stebbins Visit Victory Lane at Monadnock Speedway

WINCHESTER, NH – Sophomore open-wheel pilot Dan Stebbins wired the Sportsman Modified main event Saturday, April 27, at Monadnock Speedway, scoring the second Modified win of his career at the high-banked speedplant.

Stebbins was one of five drivers winning their first feature race of the year Saturday at Monadnock. Former Super Stock champion Bill Johnston rocketed to victory in his main event, and Mini Stock strongman Mike Stebbins rebounded from a week one wreck to top his hotly contested feature.

In the Lightning Stock 30-lapper, former speedway Mini Stock champion Chris Davis roared to his first win of the young season, while Young Gun Chris Lawrence – who had trophied a week earlier, topped the youth division 15-lapper.
