Corey LaJoie and Ron Silk Represent 15-40 Connection in the Mr. Rooter 125
SHREWSBURY, Mass. (June 8, 2015) – Rob Fuller Motorsports and 15-40 Connection will make their second appearance in the 2015 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) on Wednesday, June 10 at the Mr. Rooter 125 at the Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Drivers Corey LaJoie and Ron Silk both plan to improve upon their Icebreaker 150 finishes from earlier this season.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Finishes Up Marathon Run at Thompson Speedway Motorpsorts Park for the Mr. Rooter 125
(Thompson, CT) – The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) teams have been working hard the last couple weeks getting ready for a marathon run of races at all three of Connecticut’s short tracks. The Mr. Rooter 125 on Wednesday, June 10 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) will mark the last of the three races held within a 12-day span. With three different drivers winning the first four races of the season, the battle for the championship is already off to an exciting start.
Ryan Preece currently holds the top position, after winning the last two NWMT races at Waterford New-London Speedbowl and Stafford Motor Speedway. Woody Pitkat, who has also scored a win this season, is next in the standings and is looking for his first NWMT championship after a breakout season in 2014. Last year’s champion, and winner of the first NWMT race of the season at TSMP, Doug Coby will look to climb to the top of the standings with another win at the Mr. Rooter 125.

(Stafford Springs, CT)— Stafford Speedway returned to NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing action with the Ltd. Late Model Xtra Mart Xtra D 25 program on Friday, May 29th on what was also Military Appreciation Night. Xtra Mart Convenience Stores put up a $500 bonus that was split evenly among the top-5 finishers in the extra distance Ltd. Late Model feature event. Al Saunders was the big winner, taking his second feature win of the 2015 season in the 25-lap Ltd. Late Model feature. Keith Rocco picked up his second win of the 2015 season in the SK Modified® feature, Tom Fearn picked up his first win of the season in the Late Model feature, Matt Swanson was a first time career winner in the SK Light feature, Trace Beyer got his second win of the season in the DARE Stock feature, and Cory DiMatteo won his second Legend Cars feature of the season.

Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 4 Budweiser/Jimmy John’s Chevrolet SS for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), finished ninth in the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway Sunday night. Harvick, who won the race in 2011 and 2013, scored his 11th top-10 in the 12 points-paying races of 2015.
Harvick started eighth and charged to the front of the pack by lap 64 to take the lead, which he held until pitting under green on lap 78. After the pit cycle, Harvick regained the lead on lap 81 and held it until the next caution on lap 90. During that caution, several cars opted to either stay out or take two tires. Harvick came to pit road and took four tires to restart fifth on lap 95.
