Lime Rock Park Names New Marketing Chief

fsdfsdLAKEVILLE, Conn. (January 26, 2015) – Christine DeMichael has joined the Lime Rock Park team as director of marketing.

Most recently the senior manager of marketing and event activation for NASCAR, prior to joining NASCAR DeMichael spent 14 years with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in marketing and production management.

Such was the case for the No. 10 Konica Minolta Corvette DP for Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR) trio of brothers Ricky and Jordan Taylor and their veteran Italian co-driver Max “The Ax” Angelelli.

No Joke: Weatherly Earns NASCAR’s Highest Honor

fsdfsdDAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 23, 2015) – Joe Weatherly’s time in NASCAR’s premier series was short, just two fulltime seasons.

But what an impact the Norfolk, Virginia, native had on NASCAR racing in those brief, 24 months.

Weatherly, previously a winner of American Motorcyclist Association and NASCAR modified titles, claimed back-to-back premier series championships in 1962-63. He posted 25 victories in 229 starts before his untimely death in January 1964 at Riverside (California) International Raceway.

NASCAR and NASCAR Team Properties Select Fanatics to Operate At-Track Merchandise Business

(January 21, 2015) – NASCAR, NASCAR Team Properties (NTP) and Fanatics jointly announced today a 10-year agreement for the sport’s at-track merchandise business that will deliver fans an enhanced, experiential shopping environment. As part of the agreement, Fanatics has acquired certain exclusive rights from NASCAR and NTP that will make the company the primary retailer of NASCAR, team and driver merchandise at all 38 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekends.
Fanatics, the market leader for officially licensed sports merchandise, powers the e-stores for hundreds of the top sports leagues, teams and schools, including a long history running NASCAR’s e-commerce business (NASCAR.com). The NASCAR at-track deal expands Fanatics’ growing in-venue partnerships.

LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY UNVEILS RASCAL FLATTS AS ITS NATIONAL ANTHEM TALENT FOR KOBALT 400 NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES RACE, MARCH 8

dfhdfhfghdLAS VEGAS (January 21, 2015) – Award-winning country group Rascal Flatts will sing the national anthem at the Kobalt 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, March 8 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The performance will take place in the midst of the band’s first-ever, nine-show residency, Rascal Flatts Vegas Riot!, at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from Wednesday, Feb. 25 to Saturday, March 14.
