In the same car nearly destroyed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at Iowa Speedway in May, Eddie MacDonald powered the Grimm Construction/Multiple Sclerosis Chevy to a hard earned sixth place finish in the Autolite Iridium XP 150 in the second combination race pitting the East vs. the West on the Newton, Iowa track.
“We brought the car home today without a scratch on it,” laughed Eddie Mac after his ninth race this year in the K&N Pro Series. “The first time here with the new car in May ended in disaster when a tire blew out on lap 57 and destroyed the front clip. After fixing the car, we raced it to a second place finish at New Hampshire a few weeks ago and had hopes of running in the top three and compete for the win here but we struggled in practice and qualifying with it being too tight. We weren’t that great in practice (22nd and 27th) or qualifying (19th) but we thought we would be good for the race. Unfortunately, we just had to wait until after the break for that to happen.”

SCARBOROUGH, ME — In an event sponsored by adult beverage company Miller Lite, it was 16-year-old Reid Lanpher who stole the show duringTuesday night’s American Celebration 50-lap Pro Series feature at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway (ME). Lanpher continued a trend set by Pro Series drivers Tyler King and Corey Bubar by becoming the third straight (fifth out of last six) winner of the event not of legal drinking age.
After starting from the ninth position, Lanpher from Manchester, Maine used the inside lane to work his way through the field and eventually power to the inside of Mike Fowler to take the lead on lap 10. With a fast car underneath him during an event that went caution-free, Lanpher would never look back on his way to claiming his first career NASCAR Whelen All-American Series victory at Beech Ridge. WEST HAVEN, VT – Jason Durgan became a first-time winner at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday, June 6, taking the 30-lap Bond Auto Parts Modified event on “Facebook Friday” for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Durgan, of Morrisonville, NY, headlined a winner’s list that included Robert Bryant, Jr., Robert Gordon, Jake Noble, Scott MacMichael, and Shawn Fountain.
Durgan, who was eliminated in a crash last week, benefitted from a pole position starting spot in the 30-lap main event and led every step of the way. His No. 17 Clear Shot Satellite/Taylor Rental Teo jetted out to an early advantage, but that was wiped away with nine laps remaining as front-runners Todd Stone, Ron Proctor, and Jessey Mueller tangled. Durgan was forced to fend off Vince Quenneville, Jr., at the restart, then drove to the landmark win.

SHREWSBURY, Mass. (June 4, 2014) – Rob Fuller Motorsports has named 2003 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion, Todd Szegedy the driver of the No. 15 Chevrolet for the New Hampshire 100 race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 12.
Team owner and driver, Rob Fuller made the decision shortly after testing the new LFR Chassis at Thompson Speedway last week. Fuller is also the owner of LFR Chassis, a new company that manufactures modified and late model chassis, and this was the first test session where Fuller drove a race-ready modified chassis created by his company.
“My intention was to work the bugs out of this new chassis and when the time was right, let someone take the wheel so I could focus on the business,” said Fuller. “After the test last week, I feel this chassis can win races immediately with the right people in the correct positions. My knowledge of this chassis makes my value higher on the outside of the car. With Todd driving and me making adjustments and gathering data, I feel we can win right out of the box.”
