Fast Action And Family Fun On Tap For PASS Return To Greenville-Pickens
CHARLOTTE, NC (June 25) – As temperatures continue to rise outside, so does the action for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models and Pro Late Models as they prepare to heat up the track once again with a special Thursday night show at the legendary Greenville-Pickens Speedway on July 3. The Firecracker 125 for the PASS South Super Late Models will pit man and machine against the elements as they both try to outlast the heat and conquer the flat, half-mile speedway in the Upstate of South Carolina. But, that’s not all fans will have to look forward to as they begin to celebrate the Independence Day holiday a day early at Greenville-Pickens. Fans will see more fireworks on the track when a group of the most talented cyclists in the country come together for a huge Freestyle Motorcycle Spectacular. And, the best part is, all the action will be on the frontstretch during intermission for the fans to see up close and enjoy.

Packard Scores Top-5 in ACT at White Mountain Motorsports Park
EAST MONTPELIER, Vt – Two thirds of the way through the American Canadian Tour season and Packard is locked in the middle of the ACT championship points battle. Continuing her impressive season, Packard and her 9x Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team set out this weekend to build on their success, including the ACT race at White Mountain Motorsports Park race. Packard finished the race in 5th place, moving her from 4th to 2nd in the championship point standings. “This was my first time at White Mountain in a late model, so I spent practice just learning the track, and where I needed to run,” said Packard.
In the heat race Packard started in the third position, fighting an ill-handling race car she was able to finish the heat in third place. This got her into the race without having to run in the consolation race, which gave Neal and the guys time to work on the car. “We fought a car that was loose in and pushy tight through the center in the heat race,” Packard said “But the guys went back and forth across the spectrum to fix the car for the feature event.”

Barre, VT – Graniteville’s John Donahue captured his 14th career Thunder Road Late Model win during Casella Waste Management Night on Thursday, June 19. Donahue started fifth in the 22 car field and battled late in the 50-lap event with rookie driver Eric Badore. Thunder Road has not seen a repeat winner yet this season as across its three divisions there have been 12 different feature winners.
Badore and Donahue swapped the lead several times over the late stages of the event, but the veteran got the edge over the last several laps. Donahue and Badore were followed across the line by another rookie in Josh Demers to complete the podium. Phil Scott and a third rookie in Jason Allen completed the top five. Cody Blake, Eric Chase, Nick Sweet, Dave Pembroke and Trampas Demers rounded out the top ten. (more…)

EAST MONTPELIER, Vt – With Mother Nature winning again this season and canceling the show at Thunder Road, Emily Packard and her 9x Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team had a little more time to prepare the car for the American Canadian Tour race at Devil’s Bowl.
Having run the last few weeks at Devil’s Bowl the team went into this race optimistically cautious. Packard’s success in previous weeks was pushed out of her head and she was focused on the task of the day. Starting 8th in the heat and only 10 laps to work with, Packard found herself held up in traffic but finishing in 5th place. This gave her a +3, which was enough to score her the pole for the consolation race. “10 laps is not enough time to pass,” said Packard. “I found myself stuck in traffic, and was just not able to gain one more position.”
