CHARLOTTE, NC (September 18) – Ever since the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) staged its first event at Hickory Motor Speedway in 2006, the legendary track has had a knack for attracting some of short track racing’s most talented drivers. This weekend’s Over The Mountain 150 Presented By CV Products will be no different. A significant number of PASS South Super Late Model and PASS Pro Late Model teams have been testing at the .363 mile track in preparation for Saturday night’s seventh running of the fall classic.
Defending PASS South Super Late Model Champion Kyle Grissom is no stranger to the legendary North Carolina track that originally opened as a dirt track in 1951. Just as others before him have, Grissom made his stock car racing debut at Hickory in 2004 after moving up from the Bandolero division. And, it did not take long for Grissom to reach victory lane there in a Late Model Stock car and for Hickory Motor Speedway to become one of his favorite race tracks.

Theriault Leads Crazy Horse Efforts
Season Hits Homestretch With Host Of Strong Performances
SOUTH PARIS, Maine – The car known as “T-Rex” continued feasting on PASS North Series competition last weekend.
Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, dominated the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Sunday, September 15, giving Theriault his second win in five PASS North Series starts in his family-owned No. 57 Pelletier Ford Ford Fusion. The car, built at the beginning of the 2012 season by Crazy Horse Racing, led 192 of the 300 laps after starting on the pole in the 31-car field.
“I’ve got to say, it was probably the easiest 300 laps I’ve ever driven,” Theriault said. “The car was just that awesome.”
The same car won the PASS North Series season finale at Oxford Plains Speedway last year, and it has two wins, three Top-5s and five Top-10s in five races as a Super Late Model. The car was originally built to compete on the ACT Late Model Tour, where it also won a race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in July of 2012.

Joey Pole made history on September 14, adding name to the impressive list of winners for the Granite State Pro Stock Series on Saturday, and also by winning the final race at the 1/3 mile banked oval. 28 cars attempted to qualify for this historic event, with 22 taking the green flag.
2012 Canaan Pro Stock Champion Jeremy Davis, winner of the May 4th event, led the field down to the green, but the caution came out before the first lap could be completed, setting a tone for the event. By the time the race was 10 laps in, four cars had already retired from the event. Pole and Davis took time leading the race with Davis leading all but the opening two cirsuits.
At the lap 25 mark, Davis continued to hold on with Pole second, Matt Frahm third, Bobby Baillargeon fourth and Larry Gelinas fifth. The seventh caution of the affair came out on the 34th lap for Wayne Heliwell Sr. Another handful of cautions slowed up the event by the halfway point. By this time, Pole had re-taken the lead over Davis, Gelinas, Davis and Frahm.
