SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, finished 21st in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 8. Timmons was among several cars who were collected in a multi-car incident on a Lap 2 restart after a mid-pack car spun in front of the rest of the field. Timmons started 12th in the main event after a solid effort in both practice and qualifying earlier in the day, but saw his feature efforts thwarted with a wrecked race car before even getting a single full lap at speed.

With the postponement of two races back to back the PASS North tour has added an event at Oxford Plains Speedway, Sunday, June 23, with heats at 4 and features to follow. The OPS regular divisions will run, the Outlaw Sportsman, Strictly and Minis for OPS points, along with the PASS Mods being added to the show. It is expected that many of the OPS weekly Pro Late Models, who will run their weekly event Friday June 21, will try their luck against the top touring drivers in the Northeast as this will be the final tune up for the PASS Super Late Models before the TD Bank 250 on July 21st. Expect a full field of drivers to be at OPS on June 23rd to fine tune their cars for the TD Bank 250.

But heading into Saturday night’s 150 lapper at Virginia’s South Boston Speedway, a new group of contenders has emerged this year looking to challenge for wins. A stellar contingent of rookies has impressed this year in the PASS South Super Late Model division which includes Brandon Lynn, Spencer Davis, Cole Timm, Tate Fogleman, and Karl Weber. For Lynn, Davis, and Timm, their paths to the PASS South Series might have differed greatly, but the goals are all the same.
