Championship showdown now set for Saturday, October 27
WINCHESTER, NH — Seventeen Granite State Pro Stock Series cars were prepared to determine the first JBH 100 winner before unfavorable conditions forced Monadnock Speedway management to postpone the event until Saturday, October 27.
The JBH 100, which has been unfortunately postponed four times since its original August 4th date, is held in memory of late Granite State Pro Stock Series co-founder John Hoyt, who unexpectedly passed away last year. The JBH 100 will be the final race in the 2012 Granite State Pro Stock Series season.

Plattsburgh, NY – Dover, NH’s Wayne Helliwell, Jr. won the battle and the war, grinding to the victory in the Rent-A-Wreck Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne Speedway on Sunday, October 7 and unofficially earning his first American Canadian Tour Championship. He held off a late charging Austin Theriault, and 2012 Serie ACT Castrol Champion Patrick Laperle for the clutch victory.
Second-place point man Brian Hoar and Helliwell started nose to tail to start the feature that ran the first 49 laps without a caution. Helliwell had worked his way to the front earning a five point bonus for leading a lap, while Hoar stalked him through the field. When a second caution came out on lap 62, Hoar showed his hand, ducking into pit road for fresh tires and falling to the back of the pack.

LOUDON, N.H. – Reid Lanpher of Manchester, Maine, won a pole position and posted two Top-5 finishes in two Amsoil NELCAR Legends Tour starts on the New Hampshire Motor Speedway road course this weekend, October 6-7.

15-Year-Old Late Model Driver Heads To Fall Foliage 200
EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – Emily Packard looks at this weekend’s Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne Speedway as an opportunity, both for this year as well as next. When the 15-year-old Canaan Fair Speedway Rookie of the Year attempts to qualify at Airborne on Saturday, October 6, it will provide her the chance to make her first career ACT Late Model Tour start while also setting the foundation for 2013.
Packard, who is attempting to qualify for an ACT race for just the second time in her career, is eager to get back on the track after getting rained out at the Milk Bowl last weekend. Her goal is to run weekly at Thunder Road International Speedbowl next season while also tackling a healthy dose of the ACT Late Model Tour schedule.

OUTSIDE GROOVE: Theriault Not Out of Title Hunt
As ACT Season Comes To Close At Airborne, Theriault Still In Picture
FORT KENT, Maine – While the rest of the ACT Late Model Tour world eagerly anticipates a two-man battle for the 2012 championship this weekend at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Austin Theriault is quietly preparing for his own run at the title.
The third-year ACT driver sits third in the standings, just 38 points out of the series lead with only the Fall Foliage 200 this this Saturday, October 6, remaining on the schedule.
“We know what works, and we know what can happen in these races,” said Theriault, 18, of Fort Kent, Maine. “You can’t put yourself out of it and close the door on a championship – you have to be prepared to open the door if it opens. We’re going in with the mindset of trying to win the race this weekend and then seeing where the points shake out.”
The Brad Keselowski Racing development driver has experience with wild point swings. His victory at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in July cut 26 points out of his deficit in the ACT standings at the time.
