Ryan Newman Wins at New Hampshire; Teammate and Team Owner Tony Stewart Finished Second
Chevrolet Extends Lead in Manufacturers’ Cup Standings
LOUDON, N.H. (July 17, 2011) – Ryan Newman was truly “Rocketman” behind the wheel of his No. 39 U.S. Army Chevrolet today at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He started on the pole, led a race-high 119 out of 301 laps and was in front of his Stewart-Haas Racing team owner and teammate Tony Stewart, No. 14 Office Depot/Mobil 1 Chevrolet as the closing laps of the race clicked off.
But, it wasn’t as easy as it sounds as crew chief Tony Gibson told him they were very close on fuel and to save as much as he could and hope there was no green-white-checkered finish in their future. (more…)
LOUDON, N.H. (July 17, 2011) -Ryan Newman only saw the view from the front at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend, capturing the checkered flag in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series LENOX Industrial Tools 301 and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour F.W. Webb 100.
Behind the wheel of his No. 39 U.S. Army Chevrolet, it was a history making day for Newman; no NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver has started and won from the pole position in two races on the same weekend at NHMS.

LOUDON, N.H. (July 16, 2011) – He had to earn this one. The “Rocket Man” continued his front-running weekend by capturing the checkered flag in the F.W. Webb 100 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
His No. 7 Aggressive Hydraulics/Menards car was simply too strong in the straights for Newman to be denied the victory in an exciting modified battle.

Patrick Laperle Takes Third Série ACT Castrol Win of the Season at Autodrome St-Eustache
St-Eustache, QC – Patrick Laperle of St-Denis, QC held off defending Série ACT Castrol Champion Karl Allard for his third Série win of the season in the 200 lap event at Autodrome St-Eustache on Saturday, July 16. Laperle came from the 14th starting position to take the lead from Allard on lap 104. Just 11 laps later on the sixth caution of the event, Laperle handed the lead back to Allard while pitting for tires. (more…)
