Entry List Reaches 60 As 42nd Annual Oxford 250 Approaches
Drivers From 11 States and 2 Canadian Provinces Are Currently Entered
NAPLES, ME (August 20) – As the 42nd Annual AIM Recycling Oxford 25 Presented By Kenny U-Pull approaches in less than two weeks at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway, the entry list continues to grow for North America’s greatest short track event. Currently, 11 states and 2 Canadian provinces are represented in the impressive list of drivers who have entered so far for this impressive race. Veteran Patrick Laperle of St. Denis, Quebec, Canada becomes the 60th driver to pre-enter for this year’s edition of the event. Since the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has taken the week off, Laperle, along with former ACT champions, Wayne Helliwell, Jr. and Brian Hoar, will be attempting to make their first starts in the Oxford 250 since 2012.
Several former 250 winners are among those pre-entered, including two-time defending champion, Travis Benjamin, 2012 winner, Joey Polewarcyzk, two-time winner, Ben Rowe, and Mike Rowe, who will be seeking an unprecedented fourth win in the race. Entering the 42nd Annual Oxford 250 weekend as the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) AIM Recycling Super Late Model points leader, Mike Rowe will be very aware of fellow championship contenders DJ Shaw and Joey Doiron as they each seek their first wins in the prestigious event.

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Série ACT head to Ste-Croix, QC’s Circuit Riverside Speedway this Saturday, August 22 for the Can-Am 150. U.S. drivers have dominated the annual Tour combination event since its incarnation in 2010, but the top Série ACT drivers are ready to defend their turf.
The Can-Am 150 is the tenth of 13 race in the ACT U.S. schedule and the eighth in the 12-race Série ACT season. Hudson, NH’s Joey Polewarczyk Jr. triumphed in the 2014 running at the 5/8-mile oval and clinched his first ACT Tour Championship in the process. Defending Série ACT Champion Alex Labbé is the only Quebec driver to win an ACT combo event at Circuit Riverside, having captured the 2013 edition.

Under the hot sunny summer skies of Southern Massachusetts 29 Texas Roadhouse Mini Stocks rolled into the pit area of Seekonk Speedway for the first race of the 2015 Thirty Racewear Triple Crown and the 7th event for the season points championship. Toby Wells has won the previous 6 events in 2015 in dominating fashion.
Of the 29 mini stocks in the pit area there was a mix of NEMST veterans, rookies, and Seekonk regulars coming to show their hand in the 40 lap main event to be held later in the evening. The heats races went smooth with Glen Thomas, Derek Robbie, and Darryl Church taking home their respective wins and rolling into the feature with incredible momentum.

Zane Smith Takes Checkers At South Boston For 3rd PASS South Win
SOUTH BOSTON, VA (August 15) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model points leader Zane Smith assumed the lead with 35 laps to go following a crash between leaders Stephen Nasse and Brandon Setzer and led the rest for his third win of the season Saturday night at South Boston Speedway.
“We were just saving that whole time, all three of us, and we were just nose to tell that entire time and I had my chance and went to the bottom,” said Smith afterwards in victory lane. “It sucks, I would have loved to race with them, but it is what it is and we were able to get the win.”

Making a Statement: Belfiore Stays Strong with Victory at Speedway 51
GROVETON, NH – Anthony Belfiore nabbed his first North East Street Stock Tour victory, after holding off Geoff Rollins for over thirty laps in the “51 for 500”, presented by Robertson’s Auto Sales, event at Speedway 51.
The drivers had special help during out-of-car introductions, bringing children from the crowd on to the track as honorary crew chiefs. The children helped strap drivers in their cars, and made sure their drivers were ready for the feature event.
