GSPSS Heads To White Mt. Motorsports Park On May 21
WALPOLE, N.H.__
The Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) will kick-off their 2016 season on Saturday May 21, with a 100 lap feature at New Hampshire’s White Mt. Motorsports Park. It will be the first of 11 events on the calendar in what should be a season with lots of returning veterans and some new rookie challengers battling it out for victories.
It will be the third appearance by the New England based Pro Stock tour at White Mt., a track that opened for the first time in 1994, under operation from Donnie and Teri Avery. Brad Babb won the inaugural series race there in 2014 and defending series champion Derek Griffith scored the victory in the 100 lap feature in August of 2015. (more…)

Scarborough, Maine racer first repeat victor this year
Hermon, Maine – Garrett Hall of Scarborough charged into contention from his sixth row starting position, battling his way to victory lane Sunday in a rain-plagued 150-lap Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model race that went the scheduled distance at Speedway 95 in Hermon.
Hall, who said he was told the track “was flat and bumpy” had never seen the track prior to Sunday’s event. After several rain delays interrupted practice sessions and qualifying races, weather continued to threaten, so Hall – starting back in the field as a previous 2016 race winner on the series, wasted little time making his way through the field on the tight track.
Ronnie Bassett, Jr. Looking Forward to NASCAR 150 K&N Pro Series East Race at Stafford Speedway
(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East returns to Stafford Speedway on June 17 for the NASCAR 150, the vast majority of drivers will be seeing the Connecticut half-mile for the very first time. For 20-year old Winston-Salem, NC native Ronnie Bassett, Jr. and the #04 Bassett Gutters team, the NASCAR 150 represents a prime opportunity to pick up their first K&N Pro Series victory. The road to NAPA Victory Lane for Bassett will begin on Thursday, June 16 as he and the rest of the K&N East Series drivers will partake in a test and tune session followed by a fan and media meet and greet during the WEEI 105.5FM Fan Experience. Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour heads west to Airborne Park Speedway for the annual Spring Green Championship Stock Car race this Saturday night, May 14. The forty second (42nd) running of the historic event will begin with one of the largest contingents of front runners in the 30-year history of the sanctioning organization. Bobby Therrien from Hinesburg, VT holds a slim 12-point lead over a rebounding Nick Sweet, after the Barre, VT native’s spectacular win at the Merchants Bank 150, held at Thunder Road on May 8. Only twelve (12) points separate the top 2 teams after the first three events of the 2016 campaign. Just twenty-two (22) points separate the top five teams heading into the weekend at Airborne. Mike Willis, Jr. Looking for Repeat Run at Stafford in VMRS 80 on May 20
(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the Valenti Modified Racing Series last visited Stafford Speedway in September 2015, there was a shakeup in the podium finishers compared to previous events. In the first two 2015 Stafford races, the podium positions were occupied by either Woody Pitkat, Keith Rocco, Todd Szegedy, or Chris Pasteryak. In the September race, Pitakt and Pasteyrak were once again among the podium finishers but finishing third was Grantham, NH native Mike Willis. Willis is hoping for a repeat performance in the VMRS 80 on May 22 after a wreck cut his season opening race short at Monadnock and saw him finish 13th in the #38 Spirit of Alaska Wilderness Adventures machine.
