RUTLAND, VT – The stock car racing season opens – at least unofficially – on March 28-29 at the Diamond Run Mall in Rutland, VT. Devil’s Bowl Speedway and some of its competitors will take part in the 14th annual Rutland Regional Racecar Show to bring the curtain up on the new year.
The Rutland Regional Racecar Show gives race fans an opportunity to see a variety of freshly prepared racecars and equipment up close, and to meet and speak with drivers from around the region. In addition to being one of the area’s leading shopping centers offering an array of national stores and brands, the Diamond Run Mall’s racing show is an annual fundraiser for the March of Dimes and March for Babies charities.

WEST HAVEN, VT – Stock car racing’s youth movement has a new home in Rutland County, as Devil’s Bowl Speedway has announced the formation of the new Young Guns division. The new class, sponsored by NEK Trophy, will utilize the same rules used in the track’s Portland Glass Mini Stock division and will offer supervised safety and driving instructions and real on-track racing experience for drivers age 10-14.

WEST HAVEN, VT – Sprint Car racing history will be made in Vermont as The Dirt Track at Devil’s Bowl Speedway hosts a blockbuster open-competition event – the inaugural “Green Mountain Sprint Car Nationals” – on Saturday, September 26. The new 1/3-mile clay oval is set for a showdown featuring the region’s most fearless racecar drivers and their lightning-quick, winged, open-wheel machines.
The Green Mountain Sprint Car Nationals will be the richest Sprint Car race in Vermont history and is expected to draw the region’s top teams. The purse boasts a $3,000 winner’s prize and a minimum of $300 to start. The event is co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) and the Bond Auto Parts Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE), but is open to any winged Sprint Car with a 360-cubic-inch engine limit.

RUTLAND, VT – More than 300 guests celebrated the 2014 stock car racing season on Saturday, January 31, as Devil’s Bowl Speedway hosted the annual Banquet of Champions at the Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington in Rutland, VT. Top drivers and special award winners were honored for their achievements including Modified champions Todd Stone and Adam Pierson, and John Bruno Award co-winners Barbara Quenneville and Vince Quenneville, Jr.
Stone was recognized for his second straight Bond Auto Parts Modified division title in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The Middlebury, VT racer led the list of champions for the half-mile asphalt oval at Devil’s Bowl, and was joined on stage during the evening by Late Model champion Jamie Fisher, Renegade title winner Robert Gordon, and Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stock champion Chuck Bradford.
