BRADFORD, VT – Rookie Tim Hodge of Vershire, VT took his first career DIRTcar Bond Auto Sportsman Modified win Saturday night at Bear Ridge Speedway in only his third career start in the division. Pole sitter Jack Cook led the initial 25 laps before Evan Kingsbury took the top spot. His lead was short lived however as just four laps later Hodge, who started eleventh, powered by on the inside to take the lead and go on to the win, holding off a hard charging Adam Pierson. Evan Kingsbury settled for third with Mike Dunn fourth and Bob Shepard fifth.

Josh Sunn of White River Junction, VT posted his first win of the year in the 25 lap USAC Dirt Midget Feature. Sunn took the lead with three laps complete and cruised to a dominating win, surviving a single caution and a red flag for Jim Mossman, who flipped in turn three. Mossman was OK and actually finished the race after being righted and changing a flat Left Rear tire. While Sunn was cruising up front it was a torrid battle for second on back with Adam Pierson finally breaking free from the rest of the pack with just a hand full of laps to go to take second. It was Piersons’ first run in the Frank Manafort 76M, and only his second start in a Dirt Midget. Veteran Scott Viets rounded out the top three, with Scott Holcomb fourth and Kevin Chaffee fifth.

Defending Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupe Champion Josh Harrington took his first win of the year in that division’s 30-lap main event. Tom Placey of Bradford, VT finished second with Josh Constantine third after an intense battle for the runner up spot. Jesse Smith and Kane Pike completed the top five.

Lebanon, NH resident Jason Giguere won his third consecutive Feature in the Laquerre’s Sports Limited Late Models, taking the lead from rookie Brandon Gray shortly after the halfway point when Gray suffered a flat tire. Brain Chaffee finished second with rookie James Fadden finishing a career best third.

Tim Martin of White River Junction, VT took the win in the Weglarz Property Service Fast Fours after stalking Kevin Harran for the lead for better than ten laps. Harran claimed second with Steve Bell third.

Eric Post won the 20-lap KDD NAPA Auto Parts Hornet feature, taking advantage of an early race restart to blast into the lead from the fourth position. Brad Martin was second with Stan Otterman third.
