Flyin’ Jimmy Ryan Returning to Devil’s Bowl Speedway
Whiting veteran back home on both asphalt and dirt
WEST HAVEN, VT – Jimmy Ryan is coming home to Devil’s Bowl Speedway. One of Vermont’s most popular open-wheel Modified stock car drivers for many years, “Flyin’ Ryan” plans to end his hiatus from driving in 2015. He has recently taken delivery of a Teo Pro Car chassis, a brand new Chevrolet “602” crate engine, and has reclaimed his familiar car number 60 with the registration office.
Ryan plans to compete on both asphalt and clay, running in the Bond Auto Parts Modified division of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) on the pavement, and in the Liberty Street Discount Beverage & Deli Sportsman Modified class in the five-race Optical Expressions of Berlin Dirt Track Series. Champlain Centre Mall to Host Airborne Park Speedway Car Show
Meet drivers and see stock cars and go-kart racers on April 18-19
PLATTSBURGH, NY – Winter’s chill seems to be hanging on a little bit longer than normal this year, so Airborne Park Speedway is headed indoors. The Champlain Centre Mall in Plattsburgh, NY will host a two-day racing show on the weekend of April 18-19, featuring the cars and drivers of the track’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series stock car championship and the young stars of the Kart Racing Series.
As many as 25 stock cars and 15 go-karts will be on display, and the free-admission show will have a real race-event feel with a driver autograph session and a pit stop competition. In addition, 98.9 WOKO will broadcast live from Champlain Centre and will raffle off Airborne Park Speedway passes provided by Taylor Rental and movie tickets for “Furious 7” provided by Regal Cinemas. Polewarczyk Jr., Stearns Lead ACT Drivers Looking to do Double Duty at Oxford

Waterbury, VT – One of the biggest seasons in American-Canadian Tour (ACT) history launches on Saturday, April 18 as part of the first ever doubleheader between the ACT Late Model stock cars and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models. More than 70 combined cars are expected at the Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, ME, and multiple ACT drivers will attempt to run both 150-lap events that afternoon.
Defending ACT Tour Champion Joey Polewarczyk Jr. of Hudson, NH leads the drivers looking to complete all 300 laps of feature racing on the 3/8th-mile oval. “Joey Pole” said that he and his team wanted to attempt the doubleheader as soon as they learned that it was on the schedule. (more…)
HICKORY, NC (April 4) – Preston Peltier took the lead from Derek Scott, Jr. on a lap 44 restart and never looked back to take a dominating win in the 10th Annual Easter Bunny 150 Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models. Peltier’s third Easter Bunny 160 triumph was his sixth PASS South win at the speedway and pushed his series leading wins total to 14.
Broadening Horizons: Patrick Tanguay Looking to Tackle North East Street Stock Tour
NORTH STONINGTON, CT – Patrick Tanguay is the two-time and defending Hobby Stock Champion at Lee USA Speedway (NH). Now, he is looking to add the inaugural North East Street Stock Tour to his mantle.

(Winchester, NH) Monadnock Speedway was scheduled to hold their annual test and tune session this Saturday, April 11th however Old Man Winter has interfered. The owners of the speedway has announced that the season will be delayed by two weeks with the Bond Auto Parts Spring Dash 100 Opener postponed to Saturday, May 2nd. The facility still has areas of snow cover and the parking lot is not passable until the temperatures begin to rise to dry out the mud. This has delayed the start up maintenance and deliveries to the track making it impossible to start on time. (more…)
