DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 3, 2015) – NASCAR and NBC Sports Group announced today an unprecedented broadcast line-up of NASCAR’s popular regional touring series, with a 39-race telecast schedule for racing’s premiere grassroots series as their landmark partnership begins this season.
NBCSN’s slate features all 25 K&N Pro Series races between the top developmental series, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. The coming season will also see triple the television exposure from previous years for the stars and cars of the exciting Whelen Modified Tours, NASCAR‘s only open-wheeled division, which competes at historic short tracks from New Hampshire to North Carolina. A total of 14 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour events are included on this season’s schedule.
TURIN, N.Y. (Feb. 2, 2015) – Veteran snowmobile racers Lucas Brunelle and Danny Poirier each claimed a Pro final over the weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 4 at the beautiful Snow Ridge Ski Resort.
Brunelle, of North Hatley, Quebec, led all 12 laps of Saturday’s final aboard his Team Southside/Mystic Lubricants Polaris. New York native Michael George (daSilva Racing/Ski-doo) put in a solid effort to secure second, while Poirier edged Swedish sensation Johan Dahlgren for third after a torrid battle.
CHARLOTTE, NC (February 3) – Jay Fogleman Racing will partner with Woodman Racing to field the #8 Ford entry for Tate Fogleman. The new team will chase both the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) National Championship and PASS South Super Late Model titles in 2015. Woodman Racing’s Dicky Woodman will maintain the machine out of his China Grove, NC shops and will serve as crew chief on race day for the third generation racer.

(February 2, 2015) – NASCAR today announced two leadership changes in its Competition department, including the selection of Chad Little to the new role of Managing Director, Technical Inspection/Officiating and Elton Sawyer to Managing Director, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Both assume their new responsibilities immediately.
“NASCAR recently has made significant investments in both the technical inspection and officiating areas of our sport,” said Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer. “Those areas have become flagship examples of innovation, keeping NASCAR as a premier sport. RUTLAND, VT – More than 300 guests celebrated the 2014 stock car racing season on Saturday, January 31, as Devil’s Bowl Speedway hosted the annual Banquet of Champions at the Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington in Rutland, VT. Top drivers and special award winners were honored for their achievements including Modified champions Todd Stone and Adam Pierson, and John Bruno Award co-winners Barbara Quenneville and Vince Quenneville, Jr.
Stone was recognized for his second straight Bond Auto Parts Modified division title in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The Middlebury, VT racer led the list of champions for the half-mile asphalt oval at Devil’s Bowl, and was joined on stage during the evening by Late Model champion Jamie Fisher, Renegade title winner Robert Gordon, and Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stock champion Chuck Bradford.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 30, 2015) – Five legendary drivers with distinct styles and contributions to NASCAR were enshrined into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina tonight during the Induction Ceremony held in the Crown Ball Room at the Charlotte Convention Center.
Those who added their names to the list of now 30 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductees, included: Bill Elliott, Fred Lorenzen, Wendell Scott, Joe Weatherly and Rex White.
