Lemieux, Poirier split Pro finals at Airborne in East Coast Snocross, Presented by AMSOIL and Woody’s Traction Ingles Performance bags second Pro sweep on Sunday
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Jan. 20, 2014) – Vermont snocross veteran Lincoln Lemieux and three-time champion Danny Poirier each claimed a Pro Open final over the weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 3 of its 10-race 2014 schedule at the famed Airborne Park Speedway.
Lemieux, of St. Johnsbury, VT, powered his Ski-doo to victory in Saturday’s 12-lap battle with Poirier (second) and Quebec veteran Dave Allard (third) filling out the podium.

Seekonk Speedway closed the book on the 2013 season on Saturday, January 18, 2014, with the 68th annual Awards and Dinner Celebration at the Venus DeMilo in Swansea, MA. Several hundred men and women packed the Athena rooms to honor the 9 champions.
The evening started out by announcing the 2014 inductees onto the Seekonk Speedway, 97.7 WPRO 630 Wall of Fame. Based off of over 2500 votes, four names will be inducted on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Long time competitor Billy Clarke was honored as an inductee, as was former two-time Pro Stock Champion Don Dionne, long time official Ron Manfredo, and three time and former Pro Stock Champ Wayne Dion. The four were introduced to the capacity crowd among a standing ovation.

CASSIUS CLARK, SCOTT ALEXANDER, CAREY MARTIN HONORED AT 2013 PASS NORTH BANQUET
Over two hundred drivers, crewmembers, sponsors, family members and supporters of the Pro All Stars Series, gathered to honor the champions and top finishers at the 2013 “Night of Champions” awards banquet held at the Seasons Event and Conference Center in Portland, Maine.
After being treated to a delicious meal, PASS President, Tom Mayberry stepped to the podium and addressed the crowd by thanking them for their support in 2013. Mayberry also thanked Scott Reed for his years of support and dedication to the PASS Series and then introduced and welcomed Charlie and Jamie Rockwell to the PASS Tech team. Mayberry laid out his plans for 2014 and wished everyone a very successful racing campaign this season.

All divisions will be competing weekly and the USAC DMA Midgets on a by-weekly basis.

Morin, Poirier earn impressive wins for Ingles Performance at ECS season opener
Chris Ingles notches a pair of podiums in Sport action
RUMNEY, N.H. (Dec. 16, 2013) – Two former regional snocross champions returned to top form over the weekend, as Quebec natives Mathieu Morin and Danny Poirier split a Sunday afternoon Pro Open doubleheader at the Riverbrook RV Resort.
The event kicked off the 2013-14 season for East Coast Snocross, and featured more hurdles than an Olympic-level track meet. Racers faced incredibly tough track conditions, thanks to brutal cold, a lack of snow on Saturday and a broken groomer on Sunday.
Morin, of Val D’Or, blasted his way to victory in the first final after a rough start and serious challenge from Wisconsin native Mike Bauer. The 2010 RMR champion dug deep, and proved beyond a shadow of doubt he is 100% healthy and ready to go after another championship.
“I jumped a little bit on the start, so they put me in the third row,” Morin said. “I was pretty mad, so I think that motivated me to get out front early. A few riders tangled in the first corner, but I was lucky enough to sneak by them.”
Series newcomer Bauer slotted into second after the first lap and started to gain on Morin. Just past halfway in the grueling, 14-lap final, Bauer took the lead, forcing Morin to dig deep yet again.
“Mike is pretty fast, and when he passed me I knew it would be a good battle,” Morin added. “I found a good line on a pretty nasty track going down the backstretch and retook the lead. I have to thank my Ingles Performance team and Ski-doo, they gave me the sled to pull this off. It feels fantastic, and I can’t wait to get to Fonda Speedway next month for Round 2.”
Poirier held off a strong challenge from Morin (finished second) and fellow Ski-doo rider Lincoln Lemieux (third) for top honors to complete a clean sweep of Pro Open for the team.
“I am getting very comfortable on the new Ski-doo, and that helps my confidence to push hard,” Poirier said. “After spending three weeks out west this year, I found some things that have helped the sled a lot. I have great support with this team, communication is smooth and we have what we need to win. It feels great to start a new season with a win for both Mathieu and myself. I’m pretty happy.”
Miksen Racing/Ingles Performance rider Jesse James Bonaduce had an outstanding weekend of racing in Pro Lite action. The Somerville, NJ, native finished second to Swedish sensation Emil Sundvisson in the first final, then found redemption in the nightcap by passing the Swede for the lead and never looking back. Bonaduce got a nasty cut next to his right eye out west, yet appears to be in excellent shape for the ECS season.
“I had a lot of stitches in that area, but it has healed up pretty well and I am in good shape,” Bonaduce said. “The sled ran perfectly all weekend, the track was pretty sketchy but it was the same for everybody. I just tried to find a decent line, stay focused and run my own races. I’ll take win and a second place finish to start a new season, we have the championship in our sights so this is a great start. I’m ready for Fonda.”
Vermont native Hunter Patenaude was impressive in his first outing of Pro Lite competition. The talented rookie made a terrific last-lap pass on Swedish rider Emil Sundvisson in Sunday’s second final to score a solid third-place finish, starting his rookie season on a positive note.
Adding to this successful season opener was a pair of Sport class podiums by Chris Ingles. Despite a full plate in college this winter, Chris is racing with focus and landed on the podium twice over the weekend. Ingles Performance will return to ECS action again on Jan. 11-12 in Fonda, NY. On behalf of team owners Mike and Robin Ingles, best wishes to all for a Merry Christmas and Hapy New Year. We hope to see you in 2014.

CHARLOTTE, NC (January 17) – Two-time defending Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model national champion Jay Fogleman headlines another impressive group of drivers that have entered for the 3rd running of the Florida Winter Meltdown at New Smyrna Speedway on February 8. Fogleman’s entry comes as somewhat of a surprise after he announced last year that he would curtail racing to focus more on his 14-year-old son, Tate’s, budding career. And, while Fogleman has no plans to defend his PASS South Super Late Model championship of a year ago, he does plan on making a run at his third straight PASS National Series title. Fogleman, who finished 8th in the inaugural Winter Meltdown at New Smyrna back in 2010, will return to the seat of his famed #4 out of the family owned Bull City Race Cars shop.
“We’re definitely stepping back this year to focus on Tate and trying to help him win the PASS South championship,” said Fogleman. “I’m planning to run all the PASS National races this year. We came close to winning at Oxford last year and I sure would like to get that Oxford 250 trophy before my career’s all said and done.”

Millis’ Tommy Barrett will get the opportunity to drive the Chris Our Modified on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour in 2014. He was supposed to be at the wheel the second team car. But with the departure of Mike Stefanik from the team Barrett was in the right spot and inherited that top ride.
The plan is to start the 2014 season off at Daytona International Speedway where Barrett will be competing in the 2nd Annual Battle of the Beach in mid-February. Also, the team will also compete at in the nearby New Smyrna Speedway World Series which will include a number of Modified Tour type events.

Even though the celebration is not over for Monadnock Speedway’s 2013 Sportsman Modified Champion, Bill Kimball, the speedway management has been busier than ever preparing for the 2014 season. Kimball will put his 2013 season to a close in Charlotte, NC when he proudly represents Monadnock Speedway and collects his hardware as the 2013 NASCAR Whelen All American Racing Series New Hampshire State Champion .
While Kimball celebrates his 2013 accomplishment, back at the high banked ¼ mile oval, the speedway’s office has been receiving emails from competitors all over the New England region interested in calling Monadnock Speedway their home.
The Sportsman Modifieds, the track’s NASCAR Whelen All American Racing Series Feature division, is growing as registrations and number reservations continue to be received. Most notable registration received to date has been from veteran driver, Jim Boniface, piloting a Sportsman Modified for car owner John Corliss. The Sportsman Modified field will also see plenty of talented Rookies joining the ranks as former Mini Stock Champion Kim Rivet will be driving for the Rivera Race Team. Two very talented teenagers will also be vying for the Rookie title, JT Cloutier who became the track’s youngest driver to win a feature in a NASCAR division has joined forces with Sontag Racing to pilot an open wheel as Trevor

Devil’s Bowl Speedway champion to be recognized at NASCAR Hall of Fame
CHARLOTTE, NC – Devil’s Bowl Speedway champion Todd Stone will be feted as one of the country’s most accomplished stock car drivers on Friday, December 13, as he is honored during an awards ceremony for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS). The black-tie gala will be held in the Crown Ballroom at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC, featuring top short track racers from more than 50 NASCAR-sanctioned tracks in the United States and Canada.
Stone, of Middlebury, VT, will be celebrated as the National Rookie of the Year presented by Jostens, a title he secured on the strength of a record-shattering 10 victories in the Bond Auto Parts Modified division at NASCAR-sanctioned Devil’s Bowl Speedway. As a first-time NWAAS Division I license holder, Stone outpaced asphalt Late Model drivers Bobby McCarty of South Boston (VA) Speedway, Cole Williams and Matt Wallace of Lebanon I-44 (MO) Speedway, and dirt Modified driver Frank Cozze of Grandview (PA) Speedway for the national rookie championship.
