PRO STOCK TOUR HEADED TO PETTY INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY FOR LUCAS OIL 150

pro stock tour(Halifax, NS, June 26, 2013) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is headed to Petty International Raceway this Saturday for the Lucas Oil 150. The 150-lap stock car event marks round four of 12 for the popular regional touring series. Approximately 28 teams from across the Maritimes are expected for Saturday’s event. Qualifying for the Lucas Oil 150 will take place at 5:10 PM with Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials, feature racing is slated for 6:00 PM. Tickets for the Lucas Oil 150 will be available at the gate on race day.

SOUTH PARIS, Maine – There was no better time for a rebound than last weekend.

Gary Chiasson of Peru, Maine, rebounded from a pair of wrecks earlier in the month to win the Oxford Championship Series 40-lap Pro Late Model feature at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Friday, June 21. The victory was Chiasson’s first in the track’s new top division.

With Governor Peter Shumlin out of town, Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott took the first victory for a Vermont Acting Governor in state history in the 50-lap Late Model Feature at Barre’s Thunder Road on Thursday night, June 20, adding his 28th win to his resume as the track’s all time winningest driver. A pair of Milton, VT competitors, Scott Payea and Jean-Paul Cyr, completed the podium.

FALMOUTH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, heads to the marquee event of the season with the running of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 100 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 29. Timmons and the Mulkern Racing No. 48 Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep/Timmons Machine Dodge posted a season-high finish of second in the track’s 50-lap Pro Series feature last weekend. Through the first four races of 2013, Timmons sits fifth in the point standings, only 13 points out of the lead, and he hopes that back-to-back podium finishes will provide the momentum needed to win the biggest race of the season for Beech Ridge’s top weekly division.

Theriault Outlasts Competiton For PASS South Win At Southern National

THE STORY

EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – Emily Packard of East Montpelier, Vt., returns to the Vermont State Championship Series for the People’s United Bank 100 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., on Friday, June 28. The event is the second race in the four-race Late Model series and the first of the season at Devil’s Bowl. Packard finished 17th in the opening race in the series at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in late May, and she has made an ACT Late Model Tour start at Devil’s Bowl this season – finishing 10th in the Spring Green 113 on May 5. Packard will kick off her race week with the Fairpoint Communications 50 at Thunder Road on Thursday, June 27.

The veteran driver from the Naughty 40 Racing stable out of Gorham, Maine, will compete in the PASS Sportsman 75 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Friday, June 28, and then head back to his home track for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 100 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 29. McKeage already has a race win in both divisions this season, and he’s happy anytime he sees extra-distance racing pop up on the schedule.

WEST HAVEN, VT – The second battle of Vermont’s four-round stock car racing civil war will be waged on Friday, June 28 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The fast half-mile Rutland County track will host the People’s United Bank 100 at 7:00pm, with more than 30 race teams expected to clash in a high-horsepower turf war. In case of inclement weather, the rain date is Sunday, June 30 at 2:00pm.
