Teenager wins first-ever Northern Modified Challenge Series event

BARRE, VT – Jessey Mueller made stock car racing history on Memorial Day at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, winning the first-ever event for the new Northern Modified Challenge Series. The Olmstedville, NY racer, 18, used patience and a well-handling car to avoid early wrecks and cruise to the victory in the 51st annual Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic at the Barre, VT track.

David’s House 106 Postponed

monadnockWinchester, NH: This past Saturday, the weather dampened the spirits of the highly anticipated special event at the high banks of Monadnock Speedway. The track management announced due to inclement weather, the David’s House 106 featuring the Granite State Pro Stock Series would have to be postponed to Saturday, June 1st.

Bear Ridge Speedway Rained Out Again

USAC Dirt Midgets return next week

BRADFORD, VT- A steady rain that even turned to snow for a period of time forced the cancellation of Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply night at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, VT on Saturday. Management is working with The Sprint Cars of New England to reschedule Saturday nights’ appearance that was lost.

Ladies Races Scheduled for Wiscasset Speedway

Wiscasset2013logoA spring Nor’Easter hit the region on May twenty-fifth and Wiscasset Speedway was forced to call off the scheduled Saturday races. Ken Minott, track promoter said, “Back on Mothers Day weekend we waited til the last minute to cancel. We really thought we had a window of opportunity for the races to carry on. This time it was an easy call because we could see there was no chance of getting it in.”

Rain forces David’s House 106 postponement until June 1

granite state prostock seriesWith the steady rainfall and a poor forecast, the Granite State Pro Stock Series was forced to postpone the second annual David’s House 106 until the following Saturday, June 1. Looking over the forecast that, for the second time in the month of May, forced every speedway in New England to sit idle, the GSPSS officials and the management at the Monadnock Speedway had to come up with another date that would suit both parties.
