Over $100,000 Raised for Local Children During LENOX Industrial Tools 301 Weekend

LOUDON, N.H. (July 20, 2011) -With the curtain closing on the LENOX Industrial Tools 301, it is time to add up the gracious donations raised through the New Hampshire Motor Speedway chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities and so far this year, over $100,000 has been raised.

The money, along with additional fundraisers throughout the remainder of the 2011 season will be distributed at the end of the year to children in need throughout New England.

PETER DRAKE TAKES TRUCK SERIES WIN AT 95

Peter Drake of Corinth took the lead from pole sitter Anthony Moore of Brewer on the 7th lap of the 25 lap Pick up Truck series race at Speedway 95 Wednesday and led to the checkers, picking up his second win of the season. Newcomer David Gray of Dixmont picked up his first top three of the season, finishing in the runner up spot. Dana Harlow of Bucksport backed up his win of a week ago by posting a third place finish. Moore finished fourth with Jim Carr Jr. of Clifton surviving a mid race slide in turns three and four to finish fifth.

Hoar, Paya Hope To Add Missing Piece To Resume

GEORGIA, Vt. – Between them, they have 14 ACT Late Model Tour championships, more wins than anybody in the history of ACT, the former track record at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and wins from Florida to the Canadian provinces. Name a big race in the northeast, and chances are Brian Hoar or car owner Rick Paya have won it.

There is one omission from that resume, however – one they aim to add this weekend in the 38th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 at historic Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine.

Joey to race in the PASS 150 and the TD Bank 250 this Weekend.

(Oxford, ME) – Joey Polewarczyk Racing (JPR) will be competing in the both the Pro All-Stars Series (PASS) 150-lap Super Late Model Race and the TD Bank 250-Lap Late Model Race this Saturday and Sunday at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine.

The PASS Series makes its return to the fabled Maine Speedway after a five-year absence. Joey talked about the return to Oxford for the PASS Cars “I am super excited to be able to run our Super Late Model up to Oxford; we have a great track record up there with our Late Model”

Valenti Modified Racing Series Heads For Oxford Plains Saturday

Canaan, NH. — For the 5th consecutive year, the Valenti Modified Racing
Series will invade the famed Oxford Plains Speedway, Oxford, ME., home
to this weekends 38th annual TD Bank 250. The event, Brackett Mechanical
and RB Performance Night, is scheduled for Saturday, July 23, at 6:30 PM.

Drivers from throughout the Northeast are expected to enter the 100-lap
green flag race.

First ENDURO race under the lights this Saturday Night

Fredericton N.B. – After a successful stretch of racing in the regular divisions at Speedway 660, fans will be entertained by another great night of racing with a change from the usual Saturday nights under the lights.

This weekend the first ENDURO race of the season will run alongside the ENDURO 4 Cylinder Run’em Dry event. Unlike regular weeks of racing fans can expect to see a variety of crashes and wrecks as drivers fight to finish the 200 laps. There is not limit to the number of entries in the ENDURO 200 so fans can expect to see a track filled of cars all smashing and crashing to get to lap 200.

Oxford’s a track that every driver wants to tame and the early entry list confirms the fact. There’s already a full field of entrants for the PASS 150 from Canada to North Carolina, and the rumor mill is rampant with names that are expected to attempt to make the field.
